Roy states that the 6pm game is not rating>>

but that is not true>> 6pm friday has been rating well over 200k a game
this year has increased by quite some margin>>

it is the crowds that it effects not the tv figures>>

they would be stupid just to go 17 teams and not 18

i can see them maybe introducing one and the next 1 year or 2 later

They desperately need two - one in Brisbane and one in Perth of they want to become national. They also need top grow grassroots outside NSW and QLD to give it a broader presence.

The jealousy is great entertainment .
Wow let's look at this in Beas buzzword .
CONTEXT. :))) :)))
SOOwas up against ..house rules & Masterchef .2 mindless pieces of tv crap that rate extremely well

For context :))) how much better would SOO have rated if it was up against 50 yr old Elvis re runs .

With a lower potential audience to catch the casual viewe. There is a reason it is called prime time. More people at home. Those who are going to watch will watch regardless .... but those who are at home Sunday night (a lot if not the majority of people) many more will flick it over. You are not having to decide either whether to go to a party or friends do on a Saturday night either. Take me, if I’m home I would flick over and if on my own maybe watch a bit ... but if I had the choose between going to a bar or staying home to watch id go to the bar. I can’t believe I have to even explain this or there is debate. It’s prime time for a reason. More eyes. Yes more choice but many more eyes to make up for that.

I thought the same thing about 6 o'clock game when I read the article. He also said there was no other suitable time slots but I think a Sunday night PTV game would rate well .

Do you think they will ever have a South Pacific team ... like West Indies in cricket? Imagine how strong a team that would be ?

I was wondering the same thing Fred . Though I think the likes of Soma, Tonga etc. might be too passionate about there own country.

yeah what Pussy said is true, countries will not support a combined alliance...
and i do not see a Fiji Samoa or Tonga team in the NRL for a long time.
population and money not enough..

However International teams will be there go too.. in pacific nations cup and world cups and the odd international game.

(Fiji will entered into the NSW cup Most likely in the next 1-2 years.
