Yeah, throw a ball backwards to go forward and very rarely even kick the ball. Football they say... Throwball more like it. Hmm, how ********.Raiderdave wrote:our code has dimension...Beaussie wrote:Says it all really when a few novelty games between two states is bigger than your actual NRL premiership season.

Mum always said that when the "opposition' resorted to silly name calling you clearly had them beat on the facts of the argument.
In a few weeks Repucom will give the full detailed TV ratings for the year which will show that NRL will have a considerably higher aggregate TV audience for the year than the AFL.
How do we know this? Well because they had an 8m advantage last year with 2 AFL grand finals being played.
The AFL fan will then resort to the 'example of one' to prove otherwise eg the one game where AFL out rated NRL, where the Storm got a poor TV Rating etc
Of course it is not the battles but the war that matters and that is going the NRLs way.

If there out in the next few weeks, that will obviously mean the four nations viewers will not be included? So your saying we will kick the AFL's arse in the ratings as it stands now and there are still a number of RL games that aren't even in the count. =D> Given NZ are also in our competition and there was 692K who watched only the GF, the viewer over there should be included in our numbers on a RL v AFL competition. It's going to be a smashingenarelle wrote:Mum always said that when the "opposition' resorted to silly name calling you clearly had them beat on the facts of the argument.

Yes indeed, take note Raider who started that rubbish.enarelle wrote:Mum always said that when the "opposition' resorted to silly name calling you clearly had them beat on the facts of the argument.
As for tv ratings, gees, you know you've lost the battle when you need to include NZ figures to beat the AFL's AUS figures. Desperate comes to mind.

Prize dopes those guys at the NRL. I told them years ago not to expand outside Australia or go regional because the AFL mob would not "let" them count the numbers in any shape or form.
They stupidly plunged on and also promoted SOO without getting the AFLs "permission" to say this was ok.
The NRL really needs to understand that if the AFL hasnt got it or cannot do it then it is not allowed to count.
Still havent seem them deal with the outcomes of the last two Repucom reports that showed NRL with the greater and growing TV ratings.
Perhaps Repucom never got AFL approval to do the numbers.
One does start to really understand what "Aussie RULES" actually means.

Yes, indeed. :Denarelle wrote:Prize dopes those guys at the NRL.

And growing NRL tv audience you say... hmm:
AFL beats NRL in grand final TV ratings. A hands-down ratings win to the AFL over the NRL at the weekend, thanks to a bigger metro audience, especially in the AFL heartland of Melbourne. While the AFL grand final’s national audience for the Collingwood-Geelong match was slightly better than last year, the NRL grand final’s average was the lowest for 11 years as Manly held off the New Zealand Warriors.

Yep growing the TV ratings not in this game or that but overall which is what counts.
Also growing it in other countries and regional areas - without AFL approval
Keep telling you about the independent Repucom report which gave the NRL a 8m lead over the AFL last year. Have not seen from any AFL fan a counter claim/argument to this just a continual dodge into the "example of one" which is always "surprisingly" where the AFL can win.
