Staggering NRL Ratings continue

Post by Raiderdave »

Again in week 25 of the NRL

Friday night
Metro Figures for a game targeting only 1 city .. with no sides from QLD
drew an audience of 797K
& staggeringly ... 558K in the regionals .... 1.355 Million all up

http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/w3s ... 5_2011.pdf

http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2011/08/week-35-4.html

the AFL... their game targetting 2 cities ... Melbourne & Perth
attracted a modest 642K metro veiwers ..
& their regional veiwership ... always so pathetically low it never makes the ratings ... but probably round the 150K mark
792K all up
but heres the thing ... the 2nd NRL Friday game .. delayed , finishing around Midnight attracted national viewership of 792K as well 8-[ :?>
it attracted as much as the AFL's live telecast
:? .... 412K in the Metro's & 380K in the regionals ......ummmmm :-k

a whopping .. a deadset pounding 8-[

but wait ... its not over yet

Sunday

the NRL attracted 619K for their Sunday game in Sydney & Brisbane
& a massive 375K in the regionals for a terrific result for a Sunday overall of 994K

the AFK.. a pathetic... 8-[ 308K , into Melbourne .. Sydney .. Brisbane &.. Perth
only Adelaide didn't get this game & they wouldn't have added too much

... & on a Sunday .. I'd doubt the regional veiwership for this game would have got to 100K 8-[

994K to about 400K

TV exces would be looking at these numbers on a daily basis
its not even a contest anymore
its now embarrasing how badly & consistently the AFL is getting beaten by the NRL
dead set embarrasing

Amazing figures Raider, thanks for providing us with informed, accurate and valid figures, unlike our leader/aka man who cried wolf, who does not present us with regionals or accuracy in the figures. :/;

we/I have a bit of fun stirring up the boggerballers about TV ratings etc

but holy goodnite E 8-[
the NRL is busting out all over the place & stirring up AFL fans about the battle on the box between the 2 is becoming a little embarrasing

its now like picking on a fat kid wearing coke bottle glasses in the school yard
its too easy :|
& not fair anymore :?

when will they put their dooks up & give us some competition
when indeed

NRL smashed again once the totals are tallied up. No surprises there. The AFL has and always will dominate the NRL when it comes to tv ratings.

WOW, Those figures are just incredible, but is it any wonder? With there 'tanking' problem and all those lop sided score lines. The AFL game is almost devoid of any sort of passion, if a fight breaks out in there game its a case of 'handbags at thirty paces'.

You almost feel sorry for Demetriou, having to wake up each morning to figures like these. It must be so depressing, I just hope the guy doesn't try to harm himself. He must be a real glutten for punishment though. while the game continues to crumble in its own heartland he's expanding into areas were Iron Chef re-runs enjoy greater support. Surely there must come a time for rational thought - rational behaviour! The hundred's of millions that he's pours down a big black hole in the ground would surely be better spent getting his own house back in order! Even the dumbest of the dumb realise that expansion will not work unless you have a solid base to build on.
