SEVEN happy with Cricket despite declining audiences for Big Bash League

Based on the season so far, the combined Big Bash coverage across SEVEN and FOXTEL is averaging 109,000 less viewers per game, compared with the previous season on 10.

AVG AUDIENCE PER GAME 18/19 >>> 932k
AVG AUDIENCE PER GAME 17/18 >>> 1.041mill

More games this season i think are having an affect.. still great figures nether the less.

However, crowds are significantly down by around 4,500 per game on the same point last summer to 21,525, which is almost 8,000 less per match on two years ago when the competition was already in its finals by the 33rd fixture.

all teams are down on numbers except
Adelaide Strikers
and
Perth Scorchers

The Media has really hopped on the bandwagon of hammering the BIG BASH>>

numerous reports from many media organisations the past 2-3 weeks.

Crowds are down Tv Ratings are down.>

though there a numerous reasons why..

Games are being played in afternoon on week days..
Games are being played at 9:30pm live from perth more often.
Games have been allocated to more regional grounds..
Pitches have been blasted for producing slow wickets meaning lower scores.
remembering FOX HAS ALOT OF EXCLUSIVE GAMES which will bring down the total.
and simulclast has been on going since this deal begun..

which many media reports forget to mention
comparing Ch10 figures to Ch7 figures while forgetting FOX FIGURES>

(everyone keeps blasting the length.. but it is only 13 days longer..

i do however do think they should of kept last seasons schedule.)
and introduced A Canberra team >> being a 9 team tournament.
