Netball NSW sacks the Giants!!!!!

In a warning sign to the GWS Giants their partners and namesakes the Giants Netball club have been bought by the SEG group. And the first thing the owner Craig Hutchison is going to do is sack the Giants name, colours and anything to do with the failing AFL mess.

Hutchy wants to truly represent the golden west of 'ol Sydney town and wisely thinks the best way to do it is to completely disassociate them from anything to do with the Giants AFL.

The Netball club was set up by Netball NSW in partnership with the Giants AFL. They play and train and have their admin base at the Giants headquarters at Homebush. But Hutchy is going to move them to the heart of the golden west at Blacktown. The same place the GWS AFL mob blackmailed and lied to before moving to Homebush.

Gone is the Giants name. Sacked are the colours. The wholly new club will be re-branded and based in the true west at Blacktown. Giants netball is no more!!!!! Clearly Hutchy knows anything to do with the Giants 'brand' is toxic in western Sydney.

A great move by him but surely a warning sign to the AFL mob. They are the bastard child of Sydney sport. Un-loved, unknown and unwanted. And now cancelled by the netball girls of the golden west. Ouchhhh!!!!!

Yep. AFL clubs attached themselves like leeches to a host when it looked like the netball girls could benefit them. Now they're dumping 'em because it didn't happen. You'd love to be in the trenches with the AFL head honcho's. When the going gets tough....they get going......in the opposite direction ololololol!!!!

All power to whatever the new girls netball club in the real western Sydney will be called and operate. I'm backing 'em!!!!!!!

No. They sold 'em last year. But unlike the netball Giants the club kept their name, colours, branding and identity. And the club was a raging success winning premierships and having massive support on the sunny coast.

The new owners praised the work the Storm did to establish the club and turn it into a powerhouse and promised to preserve their legacy with the club.

Storm management said they reluctantly sold the club so they could concentrate on ladies Rugby League which, as we all know, has exploded in recent years.

right ok, yeh i faintly remember it happening, but did not take much notice.
but it makes alot of sense with STORM taking on the LADIES NRLW side to be (TBA)
