The AFL continues to absolutely smash the NRL in reach. Can’t think of a time the NRL has ever beaten the AFL in reach tv numbers head to head?

SEVEN’S AFL: THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Seven 1,775,000 591,000 42,000

THURSDAY NIGHT NRL LIVE Nine 1,336,000 627,000 83,000
Umm beatup 'ol pal, I know you are just taking the piss due to the very poor fumble ratings this year but lets get fair dinkum now. The rolled gold standard for TV ratings are averages. As far as I know they have been used since the inception of the current system. (Sookie can fact check this).

That's why every single year for decades the most watched programs for the year have been ranked according to average viewership. That's what ya call a fact beatup - FACT: "A thing that is known or proved to be true."

Reach has been used by fumble fans recently due to the AFL's poor average ratings. It's what ya call a beatup! You'd be familiar with that wouldn't ya beatup loololol!! The only thing it indicates in this instance is the fumbling game goes for longer than Australia's most watched sport. Meaningless in regard to true viewership.

You will of course continue to beatup the reach figure. I will of course call out your BS every time.

Have a great day beatup...........and beatup well!!!

what I've noticed regards to "REACH" from the networks Etc

is that in the dyeing landscape of FTA Tv and the huge decline since 2010 onwards..
they are pushing reach more than ever. as it helps and makes them LOOK BIGGER than they actually are..

now some networks push it more than others.
but as much as I've read etc etc

Average is the go to for most metrics for getting a good picture of the overall success

ive been looking at VOZ recently and every NRL game goes up.. from its intial figure.
State of Origin Women went up over 50k

its quite interesting.. NRL are gaining viewers left right and centre
since the Dolphins entered the comp and its only growing
