NRL record revenue & record profits for 2024

Post by azif »

Holy hell

https://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/subsc ... nt-2-SCORE

The ARLC is set to post the highest revenue tally & profits in the codes history for 2024.
744 million revenue ( up from 701 million in 2023 )
62 million in profits ( up from 58 million in 2023)

assets of 340 million including over 200 million cash in the bank.

The next goal for the code is to break through the 1 billion mark in revenue ( which it will do with its next media rights deal starting in 2028)
& 100 million plus in profits

The sport of RL is absolutely ... flying ... in Australia & the region.

2025
2026
2027
years will be interesting (with AFL TV DEAL) Blowing out
NRL would need to gain a further 200 Million Per year just in TV Money alone
until 2028 kicks in (which i am forecasting to equal or beat the AFL) and we want have to wait to long Mid year.

yea , they'll kick out to above 1.2 bill with their new TV deal alone
25 & 26 the NRL will have to rely on non media revenue increases , so could be 820 mill ish in 26 .... if Perth come in in 27 , that will bump up the TV $$ that year.
2028 , the NRL will be North of 1.1 billion ...

wow
Itss remarkable how grants count or dont count depending on the narrative you are trying to spin. Either they count and revenue is down, or they dont count and revenue is up. Either way, youve got the second biggest gap in real terms between the two codes, and the largest since the 2017 AFL deal kicked in.

Im not crying about jack shit. Im complaining about the double standard. You fucking clowns whinge when the grants are included like theres no tomorrow. Then when it comes to this, oh suddely its revenue. Fantastic.

Incidentally, we dont know what the grant situation is this year, theyve only reported a 72m increase in operational revenue.

>The AFL's operating revenue increased by $72.3 million due to a combination of contractual increases in broadcasting revenue, improved returns from Marvel Stadium, sponsorship and other consumer related revenues.
