So good to see ANZ in Homebush becoming a permanent rectangular stadium.

The biggest and best stadiums should all be rectangular in NSW. I am glad common sense is prevailing with the public and governments.

SCG to host NRL grand final after ANZ refurbishment

ANZ Stadium will undergo a facelift after next year's State of Origin series, handing the Sydney Cricket Ground the rights to at least the 2020 NRL grand final during construction.

The NRL told club chief executives and chairs at a meeting in Sydney on Wednesday that ANZ Stadium would be out of action after next year's Origin series opener at the Olympic venue.

It will leave the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs searching for a new home for the second half of the season, but also the NRL for its major events.

t's likely the Bulldogs and Rabbitohs will play the majority of their home games in the first half of the year and are expected to take most of their remaining games to Bankwest Stadium.

ANZ Stadium, which will be transformed into a 70-75,000 seat rectangular facility, will be out of action until the start of the 2023 NRL season.

The Sydney Cricket Ground will host grand final day in 2020 with the NRL in discussion with the NSW Government about locking in the next two grand finals after that.

The new stadium at Moore Park is expected in early 2022 and could be in line to host the grand final that year.

Let’s flush more billions down the drain on a polished turd of a product!
Build new venues and the crowds will come!

We all know what the result will be just must but buts
But for the idiot league fans the new parramatta venue is just another prime example
4 Brand new stadiums ... how good aye.

Parramatta complete as 2019
Townsville complete as 2020
SFS complete as 2022
Olympic Pk as of 2023

Now Canberra wants a new stadium.. Ohh Boy>>
And still the but but will be rolled out due to the so called fans not attending the games in the brand new venues

And alas proving I’m correct again

Freo and west coast have waiting lists for their membership!
I’m sure the crows do as well and port can’t be to far behind

Theose clubs have large supporter bases and the cities Adelaide had their last major venue built in the early 70s & perth early 1900s before the new venues were built

Down down down

You can only continue to polish a turd for so long!
Spend 350 million and the average may hit 13k up from that 12k
