About bloody time I say, being it is the HIGHEST RATING SPORT ON FOXTEL..

If this channel is just NRL, what an absolute waste.

yeah you need to have more then just NRL games otherwise it will be like AFL change just re-runs of old games. boring as shit.

Yep that would explain the fact that Fox has had the No.1 Fox Footy Channel for how many years now?

RL always playing catch up to the dominant AFL.

RL always playing catch up to the dominant AFL.

footy channel was apart of optus vision
And than taken to fox
Since the start.

Nrl was owned by news limited via fox sports
It had no choice..

Afl had a channel when it didn't even come close to ratings on fox.. it hasnt nothing to do with it

So Fox Sports under News Ltd have never been interested in a RL channel, however they were interested enough in the AFL that they continued with the Footy channel, rebranding it Fox Footy and creating - the No. 1 channel on STV during the footy season. Yeah makes sense I guess. lol

as you will know, rugby league was the first of the two sports on the Foxtel..
and it was on Fox Sports..
where the cable network was dominate in the northern states..

the AFL channel fox footy was bought in to entice viewers to the cable network..
from southern states.
NRL however were locked into FOX SPORTS.

had nothing to do with popularity (otherwise NRL would of had an NRL channel since day dot.
