draft in rugby league-is there one

i see that the afl just had their draft where young sexy guys get picked up by interested clubs.
do they have sometrhing similar in rugby league? In bundaberg where i am from they do these deals at the queenslander hotel over a keg or two.

I could be wrong but I thought the NRL did have a draft at one stage. Don't quote me on this, but I think the players lauched legal action to abolish it.

Don't understand why it doesn't work for the NRL but works fine for the AFL. Unlike the AFL, NRL players are not willing to just go to any club via the draft it would seem.
