the Womens AFL is on par as the A League..

its quite an achievement really..
and a embarrassment for the A League
What did the nrlolw rate?
That’s if a network bothered covering the games
all games were broadcast either on Ch9 or FOX.
though the league is only half the size of the AFL...

NRL is taking small steps.

and i cannot remember how much they rated..

Step 1 nrlol fans beat their chest how big it’s gonna be

Step 2 wait for some interest!

Step 3 follow step 1 & 2 for the next several years

From this weekend we can check the tv ratings and 'crowds' of the ladies mess. What's the predictions??? Last year they had a catastrophic drop off in TV ratings. Will it continue? Will the mess bounce back?? Will the standard of play creep past under 10 boys F grade??

In the continued absence of the once great Wookie I will keep a close eye on the mess and will report in my usual objective, evidence based, common sense way.
Hmm, the reality and facts appear at odds with what our Terry sprouts.

How unusual eh?
Sports week: Women’s sport rates well
ByJames Manning
Posted on February 4, 2019

Women’s sport a TV highlight for second successive weekend

Just one week after both Seven and Fox Sports enjoyed big ratings for the final of the WBBL, the two broadcasters have again scored strong audiences for the launch of the AFL Women’s competition.

Seven’s numbers for the first AFLW game early on Saturday evening were 375,000 watching across metro and regional markets. The metro audience for the game between Collingwood and the new Geelong team was 271,000.

A second game in the evening between the Adelaide Crows and the Bulldogs did 256,000 national with 183,000 metro.

The Fox Footy audience for its first live clashes of 2019 were just over 50,000 for each match.

Still rating better on tv than Australia’s top level men’s soccer league.

Hardly what I would’ve thought was a “mess” as Terry describes.

Great to see you're making a contribution Beatup. Keep up the good work. Now to my use of the word 'mess' in relation to AFL. I am referring to the actual game. That means men's, ladies, kids, anyone playing anywhere, anytime. That's because the game is a complete and utter ugly mess. You know...….fumble, bumble, stumble, kick, repeat, repeat, repeat!!!!! Yep...….it's a mess.

I am not referring to TV ratings or any other part of the game. Just the game itself. Hope that clears things up for ya pal!!!

Now to the ladies mess TV ratings: It's a tad hard to follow this year. Many games don't make the Foxtel cut-off for ratings so low are they. It appears that at best they might be close to last years numbers. I suspect however that if we get all the ratings they will show another dip from last years mess which on turn had a catastrophic drop off from the year before.

Hope that clears up all your worries my friend. Keep morale high and here's hoping you continue your recent interactions.

Last nights mess rated a paltry 19k on Fox. As far as I can tell it wasn't on FTA so that's the total. Given it was 2 Melbourne teams it seems even the heartland of the fumbling game is turning off the mess.

I see there's a game out at Blacktown this arvy. It'll be interesting to see what the posted crowd will be.

Just had a look
About 250 people at the most when camera pans around about 2/3 of the place .
I'm sure there's 23,980,000 sitting behind the camera .
apparently it's supposed to be fan day .
I think someone forgot to tell the fans .
Which reminds me where are all these new fans .
We hear so much propaganda about how many new females junior & senior are now playing because of the AFLW & the Giants.New clubs & teams popping up all over.
Where are they .
Good old afl house .where the propaganda doesn't seem to match reality .

so playing numbers directly relates to crowd sizes?

If that's the case the AFL murder the NRL in playing numbers

Wow!!!!! Fumblehouse just posted a crowd of 3,823 at todays Blacktown fumbling contest. I had a couple of quick looks and the crowd looked to be in the hundreds. There were literally a few dozen people scattered around all the hill areas which are 90% of the ground.

The place holds 10k. The grandstand holds 1,600 when full - which it was no where near today. Does anyone believe the place was nearly half full??? If so I'm selling a number of bridges, please contact me for details.

Not even I believed fumblehouse could be this blatant with their lies. Incredible stuff!!!!

there was a lot of crowd noise on the camera side but we never got a look at it on the TV. Claiming there were a few dozen people is BS Terry
