women's sport is never going to appeal to people who will only tolerate the highest skill level because women's sport cannot compete on the same level as the men. Yet there is still an audience, those who want to watch a contest, those who love the sport and will watch most levels, those who support their club whether the men or women are playing, and women who want to watch women play AFL.

The ratings are competing with the nation soccer league so there is clearly an audience whether you think there is or not.
