This week the comm games are on .
What do I do when I turn the tv on & I see that ch 7 is not broadcasting the afl on 7 .

Do I
A..stare blankly at the tv watching sports I have little interest in ?
B..stare blankly at the remote wishing I knew how to use one so I could check CH 7s other channels .
C..turn tv off & vent on a forum .
D..all of the above as it appears I'm too stupid to use a remote .?

You must have a learning disability. No matter how many times you are told you still cant get your head around the fact every program's ratings are made up of core fans, fringe fans, and channel surfers. The core fans will still tune in no matter what. The rest may not if an uncommon event like he commonwealth games is on.

you state the commonwealth games was on> which would affect fringe fans and channel surfers.
because of the Comm Games..

now would that not affect the NRL which was on at the same time...

at least with the Comm Games that had constant cross promotions for the AFL and advertising
of games that were on or about to start or were to be played on the weekend

or this with millions watching the comm games. (that were able to see the AFL BEAMED onto there screens)
with Highlights and pop up screens of games..

Channel 9 rated poor for those two weeks
everyone was glued to Channel 7

yes NRL ratings would have been affected also, but not as badly because the NRL remained on the main channel

I'm not ignoring it, I'm accepting that in the Australian sporting landscape equalisation has a place given the saturation of sporting codes. The Lions cant compete with the crows, the Pies or the Eagles. They have a far smaller supporter base given they are in an expansion market. To compete with these power clubs they need assistance or they'll die, and the code would be disadvantaged overall

Your example is as stupid as you. The AFL have 5 clubs who receive significantly more money from the AFL. That's 5 from 18 so a fraction of the total. The number of people who have died since 2000 BC would be far and away more than those alive. Idiot
