I see the afl women's comp has struck a tv deal with each game being televised. I think the afl has done extremely well creating a buzz around this and will interesting to see the ratings. I for one find myself looking forward to seeing it start. Could this be the juggernaut I am thinking it may be ?

Well. I will give you the mail. Women's afl in afl states be far far more popular and have far far more interest rl in general. Whether that is a juggernaut or not we will have to wait and see as that feat is not necessarily difficult :)

Except for the game......it was rubbish. The girls tried hard but just goes to show what a boring closed town Melbourne is. They'll go out and watch anything to get their feeble minds off the fact they live in Bleak city.......lolololololololol

Interesting to note the new corporate sponsors and their ads during the telecast too. I really do think this competition could be huge for women's sport in Australia. New opportunities for the AFL to market itself as truly 'Australia's Game' too.

Ross greenwood had a guy from the afl on today and he was saying they have sponsors clambering to get on board and 4 million already made. I think they have invested 8 million setting it up so future looks bright. Will this get its own media money or will it all be thrown into the package?

Be intersted in the ratings. Should bump the overall ratings for afl up a bit I would think.

Well it was a weekend of packed grounds, even a good crowd in Brisbane, over 6k turned up & got drenched in thunder and torrential rain in a open ground
Ratings is through the roof!

As I have stated - I do not respond to the site's designated village idiots. For the sake of reporting the facts I state thus: There was no Brisbane fumbleball girls crowd of over 6k in Brisbane as stated above. They played at Casey Fields........ Melbourne. Yes Melbourne. The Brisbane female fumblers play at South Pine Sports Complex Brendale. It will be interesting to see what crowd they get when they play there. I suspect it won't be great.

I will not be responding to village idiot 1 further on this thread regarding this matter. I rest my case!!!!
