Adelaide, the real deal?

Post by King-Eliagh »

They're looking like the crows of old but a bit nippier. Tough as in their win today and a fair bit of class thrown in too. Although its tough to tip in the top tier of the afl, I'm thinking top four for Adeliade this year.

I think it's way too early to tip a top four. I tried to tip the grand final early and both Carlton and West Coast are on shaky ground. I also thought Freo were looking good. There are so many clubs in the running at the moment I think it would take a brave person (or a stupid one perhaps) to call a top four on the current form guide.

I know its early(ish) days but there's something about the crows TLPG. The way they put away sydney and now carlton and their enjoyment of footy. I'd say its a real good team atmosphere down that way the way they've come from last season.

Not to mention Geelong.

Oh there's no doubt they've improved - but then that wouldn't be hard because they were just terrible under Neil Craig.

I'd hate to have to take on the Crows in a home final at AAMI. 8-[

They looked fantastic yesterday. Or was it just the Blues looking terrible again? Big test this week for the Crows vs the Pies.

Adelaide have proven to me now that they're one of the best sides in the competition this year. Carlton have been poor for a month now but you still have to give Adelaide all credit. I think the second half was 15 goals to 3 or something like that which doesn't happen unless you're a good side.

I want to know whether Essendon are the real deal. My passionate hate for that football club makes my opinion biased in that I think (pray to god) that they suffer a collapse at some stage this year.

Pickles - Despite the Crows losing yesterday they showed plenty in the first 3 quarters to prove they're the real deal. Funny how games break open and a team gets a run on. Next time they meet Collingwood it may well go the other way. Essendon is one of 11 clubs (and I'll include the Tigers in the 11) that could win this year's flag. The race is wide open. People will write-off Carlton, Hawks & Freo on recent form......nut I wouldn't. we have a long way to go.

Hmm

Gees the Crows are looking more and more like the real deal each week. Big win to overcome the Dockers at Subi.

This week will be a good test on where the Crows are at. Wouldn't be surprised if the Saints beat them with straight kicking for goal.

Got that one wrong. It was the Saints who couldn't kick straight.
