Hi Terry

I am glad to see firstly, that the welfare of the victim is the first priority - with some early and rightful criticism of some in the media for focusing on how this impacts the players and the Swan's season as the main point.

I, and I assume most of us, only know what has been reported - which is very little - but what we do know is that a woman is alleging that she was inappropriately touched outside what was agreed to. Police investigating. So will wait to see what the findings are.

On being out drinking to all hours of the morning - The fact that, and apply this generally - not to this case in particular, that in this day and age, with so much education around the challenges this invites - even if simply being drunk and acting like a dick, can bring so much scrutiny in being a public figure - occurs - beggars belief. That in and of itself is enough to see these players behaviour addressed for going beyond team rules and expectation - let alone what happened in this case where sexual assault is alleged. Even in a best case scenario whereby say the players are exonerated on the sexual assault - their behaviour is still not okay and I am glad to see they will no longer be playing a part in the rest of the season. If the sexcual assaulty is proven however obviously they will have ramifications from the law - and rightly so - but I would expect no less than each play to have significant bans - by this I mean years - if not permanent.

If it is a scam - then the courts/police should deal with the woman in question and charge her appropriately. This still does not negate that players were out and behaving in a way that contravene club rules and standards. - and at this stage - that is what the punishment of banning for season is about.

the courts in AUstralia are pathetic and she would get a slap on the wrist and few years at most, in the mean time once she is named her instagram feed then only fans would go nuts

my beef is she, or the girls were strippers that went back to a hotel room with the players, swans are one of the most well known teams in Australia and players are well known, the swans play finals in a few weeks and sit second on the ladder, no chargers or actions have been taken by the cops after invistigations. if charges were laid or simething did become of this already the players should be free to play and not loose out on possible all australian selections also.

if it fizzes out to a nothing burger and the players and swians miss out on finals or the personal achievement, no compensation can is enough
