Thursday night footy

Post by Fred »

Big game coming up this Thursday night - will be a large crowd no doubt (can't get tickets again this year). Wonder how it will go on TV (7) - shame fox aren't releasing their figures. Saw Fagan in interview on 360 stating this game has been good for them as Collingwood have agreed to play it at their home ground each year - although he noted whilst it used to be the big game for the year - that they now have several home games that pull similar crowds - which is a good thing pointing to the growth of the game in Brisbane I think. Imagine when the new AFL stadium is built - 630000 - I think they will regret not making capacity a little bigger to be honest.

Hard one to predict... Collingwood usually fire up for this occasion
Sold out venue,(i do not recall when the last time it was not at capacity)
it has been Lions big game since its instalment.

expecting a FTA audience of around 50k in Brisbane / Gold Coast markets.

regards to the 63k stadium i think it is a perfect size.
MCG is too big, the views from the TOP TIER you are watching ANTS run around.

Big stadiums are never better>>>

Perfect size stadiums for Oval (70k)Max

Perfect Size stadiums for Rectangle ( 60k )

3 unbelievable stadiums recently built
Liverpool cap 62k
Everton cap 52k
Tottenham cap 61k
