It is Wednesday 22.3.23 ( and we are still 2 days away)

I have never seen such hype surround a game in QLD outside GF and ORIGIN

I don’t read papers or watch fta generally - I do listen to radio on mornings and have socials - I’m just not getting - or missing out on, this vibe or hype? Obviously I don’t watch Rl shows or read socials about Rl - just as a rL person wouldn’t seek out afl shows etc - but the general media I watch (morning shows on tv and radio ) I’m not getting too much hype. Maybe cause morning breakfast shows are tailored to national audiences? I have heard mentions of it don’t get me wrong but not getting the hype. Which I should say, is my loss if it is out there.

It will be a big game. What do you think the crowd ratio will be leeroy as its a Dolphins home game?

I am guessing all the Broncos members wont be able to sit in their normal seats because of this.
it is hard one to predict, im gonna go 60% Dolphins 40% Broncos.
as i think neutrals will be joining the dolphins and as you said Dolphins home game.
with seating snapped up first.

the next Match between these two is in a few months.
and because of the Soccer World Cup.

It will be at the GABBA>
which will not have the same ring to it.

They mentioned it on 360 because they cant believe how stupid the AFL is to put the Lions Melbourne game on the same night as the first Rugby League derby in Brisbane.

They should have scheduled it tonight instead of Carlton Geelong.

They wouldn't sense it either because they live in Melbourne & don't realise how big the Dolphins Broncos game will be & how many more people will be watching that instead of the footy.

No Pete up here gointo the footy usually means goin to watch RL
In wasteland it means watching the uncos fumble a ball
For yrs the sokkka crowd tried to claim the name Football as their own
Some fumble fans did too
It can mean any ofthe 4 codes
But sensible people realise it usually gets referred to mostly by whichever is the dominant code in that state.

100% should of been put on the Thursday Night..

AFL did it to try and take a hit to the NRL New Team..

they just totally underestimated how big the Dolphins would be so Quick.

yeah i lived in both states NSW AND QLD>

and if your referring to Rugby League It is always has been

League or Footy.

no one says going to watch the rugby..

the ones that do are a usually a supporter of another code at heart.
for example you (AFL) lol
