the NRL won't move their prelim for anyone or anything
the storm will play friday if they make it
the saturday prelim will be played as per usual at 7.50pm

the derps & misses GF will miss out on probably 200 to 250K casual viewers in NSW & QLD as a result of playing their GF on Saturday night who will watch the NRL instead
:(/

the derps n misses had to get down on their knees to beg the NRL to move their prelim
Jillian Mc glockenspiel or whateva its name is went cap in hand to the guy that runs australian sport ATM .. Mr PVL

I haven’t read that account .. that afl asked nrl to move it? Is that really the case or is this all in your head or just a tantrum ? Serious question as if it is a tantrum dummy spit it’s quite pathetic so hoping it is based on something.

I did a search and couldn’t see anything about afl going cap in hand to the nrl. I did find articles quoting the nrl people

"Rugby League is about the fans who have made it clear across the weekend that they are disappointed about having to choose between the preliminary final and the AFL grand final which is scheduled to play at a similar time,'' NRL CEO Andrew Abdo said.

It’s a sensible decision and one the afl would have made I hope should the circumstances be reversed. A win win for me too…. A big day watching the Storm than the AFL grand final. Think I’ll be at Elliot Heads so hope the pub has it on.

Oh my…. Listen, I did write something else but edited it as let’s face it… it’s only game and this forum a bit of fun and to see this is obviously concerning. I think we have all had our moments and may be let this one go through to keeper.

Lol what fucking fantasy planet are you living on. This never fucking happened. The Storms folks were up in fucking arms though - and NRL twitter has been pretty divided.

I think stop replying to this guy. Clearly a troll. Can he be removed from the forum?

He cant be a troll though, I was told that the forums issues were all the fault of the old moderator and this place would become a shining beacon of fair and balanced discussion

Add him to your foe list.

Friends and Foes

What are my Friends and Foes lists?
You can use these lists to organise other members of the board. Members added to your friends list will be listed within your User Control Panel for quick access to see their online status and to send them private messages. Subject to template support, posts from these users may also be highlighted. If you add a user to your foes list, any posts they make will be hidden by default.

How can I add / remove users to my Friends or Foes list?
You can add users to your list in two ways. Within each user’s profile, there is a link to add them to either your Friend or Foe list. Alternatively, from your User Control Panel, you can directly add users by entering their member name. You may also remove users from your list using the same page.

Meanwhile for those interested.

"One in every 24 Australians is now a member of an AFL club, a sign that the national reach of Australian football has never been greater," League CEO Gillon McLachlan said.

As I said - common sense and if reversed AFL would hopefully do the same.

And why were Melbourne Storm fans upset with the move?

Storm fans were upset, that the Schedule had put the Storm against the AFL GF
with many bombarding the NRL saying they want to watch both games..

In all fairness it was not the NRL's Fault
Saturday night was always going to happen.

and Storm always had to play on Saturday Night due to other teams having a min of 7 days turn around..

If both games were on a collision course it would def of effected both, but more so the NRL>

Made sense to move it. A lot of Storm Fans probably watch AFL too if they grew up in Melbourne.

If it was two areas that don't have AFL teams like Auckland vs Newcastle, it probably wouldn't have needed to be changed.
