that was a snap census of ex pats from the bumbletard states in brisbane on thursday then , the ABS are taking those numbers down as we speak
meanwhile the worst , the.... worst brisbane broncos side in their history attracted 143K on TV last night in brisvegas.
& probably another 100K on streaming

seems like skinnywhiteboyball will never be our national sport

so
says peter rabbit
So 143k watched the Broncos last night when no other sport was on, and 84k watched the AFL on Thursday night rather than the NRL.

Please tell me you're not trying to spin this as some positive for a RL heartland city Dave. Those figures must be a massive worry for the NRL because they show significant interest in AFL in Brisbane.

An equivalent result in Melbourne would be the storm rating 200k. Yet last night they rated 20k with no competing AFL

Yikes
243K dopey
& if they were even half decent it would of been a lot more

still , more then double the kitty kat wions who played in a prelim final last year & are contenders again this year.
The only team of our self anointed national sport in our 3rd largest city

:hmm:

    :(/ :(/

tell em Peter

tell em
143k, so dont call me dopey

FRIDAY NIGHT NRL LIVE Channel 9 328,000 154,000 20,000 143,000 4,000 6,000

84k in 2.5mil people is a lot lot more than 20k in 5.1mil Dave :D:

And your claim not long back, that your Kayo numbers would be better than ours??? Showing two FTA games at the same time barely makes a difference. :blahblah: :blahblah: :blahblah: Wouldn't overlapping matches or showing FTA in different states, cut down on the matches you could watch without Fox? - It's a shit game LOL maybe there just not into it, did you ever think of that.  Oh youv'e still got it :(/ :(/ :(/
Something is seriously wrong with you.

Yes, concurrent games are still an issue, as they always will be. Last weekend alone proved that. If they are on fox too it makes no difference as you cannot watch, nor be counted, as watching 2 games at once.

Our fox subscriptions are lower than nrl because fans in all states bar VIC can see their club on fta every week. Therefore fox ratings are a poor measure of popularity

and those games, the ones that overlap, are shown on FTA . You the ones the mob that get 2 or 3 times as many ratings. So who benefits?. But as you point out not everybody can watch these games, not unless you have Fox. No doubt you will find some negative to focus on .
can you translate this into english please. FMD

Its a fact
I know fathers of boys here in our area who play sooker or derpball , only because the mothers won't have their skinny little white sons play RL mainly. Its too rough for them
Thats the sport they want to play tho , thats the sport they watch with their fathers .. all raiders fans.

Skinny white boy scared of polynesians is a huge factor in playing numbers for sooker & bumbleball north of the murray. They're both easy soft sports to play
Unlike league which isn't.
but , thats where the engagement with those sports end

so

says peter rabbit
That must scare the hell out of poor Dave. Rusted on RL fans allowing their kids to play AFL instead of RL. AFL wins again.

I can assure you, the opposite isn't happening in Melbourne. The participants in RL are almost unheard of here

They certainly do talk afl in school grounds in Brisbane and Gold Coast ... and play afl at breaks ... along with other sports so you are so so wrong there.

Crapper... this is just plainly wrong. Afl is quite present in schools . There are afl excellence programs, afl
Comps between schools, and lots of kids who follow afl would be talking about the weekends game. Hell there’s even some banter between Aussie rules, Rl and soccer kids. Aussie tulles played at breaks etc. so not sure where you are getting your information from. Even in Toowoomba they are playing Aussie rules in numbers .

anyone can be present by turning up frud
but just turning up to show school children up here how to fumble , bumble & miss doesn't mean it resonates with these school children forced to participate or willing to , to get out of schoolwork.

no frud
you live in a bubble , full of delusion & rose coloured glasses

kids up here do not care about derpball

I’m not talking about a clinic or Auskick. In high schools there are kids playing Aussie rules as part of the school sports programmes. Aside from this, I see many a kid with an afl footy playing Aussie rules ... it’s a big sport on the gc and Brisbane. That’s just a simple fact. There are also afl excellence programme in many schools ... I know of several. So to say it isn’t followed, that kids aren’t into it is simply wrong and I suspect, wishful thinking. There are even schools with afl posts ... but most have the rugby/afl hybrid.
