I would like to see a run down of some Sydney Clubs.

i think it may surprise you with there assets and wealth.

NSW Clubs are very Asset Rich.

Canterbury (MASSIVE)
Parra (MASSIVE)
Souths (MASSIVE)
Roosters (MASSIVE)
Tigers (multiple Leagues CLub)
Raiders (multiple Leagues CLub)
Newcastle (owned by West's Group)
Panthers (HUGE)
Sharks Huge developments, owns it Ground and Golf Club and course.

(St George Illawarra i would be interested to see there figures)

Manly would be the littlest of the clubs

Live on the GC too and it has certainly tamed a lot. Whilst Aussie Rules does have a large following and large playing numbers I think the Suns as a team are really trying the patience. I don’t think it’s competition between Suns and Titans… most people who follow the code of choice have them as their second team or local team but generally have an established club already. Winners are griners and that always help. If this season sucks for Suns then Dew is out and I suspect Clarkson in on a massive pay deal to good to refuse.

Probably the closest I can find but a bit old (2013).

NRL teams are asset richer the AFL teams overall because of their leagues clubs, which lets be real, are dependent on Pokies.
And some teams own their own grounds and developed surrounds which pretty much assures a substantial additional income.
AFL/VFL teams did not have the benefit of pokies (and when they came in the AFL discouraged them so much that only five Victorian clubs still have them).
A good revenue earner though.
The Victorian clubs had and some still do, small social clubs, than the large league clubs.
And none own their own ground which is more a consequence of the way Victorian rules developed than economics, but in retrospect perhaps not the best outcome.
I would think the most NRL clubs are asset richer than AFL clubs.
Value maybe a different argument.

Re the Suns.
I think the AFL will maintain them on the Coast, but a fall back position is to hand the license to the Southport sharks and reduce the need to pour in cash.

Be interesting to to see the value of clubs “if” pokies disappeared.

Leagues Clubs do a play a big roll for the clubs which generate big coin..
though clubs have branched out also..

Canterbury own a plot of land in Liverpool CBD worth a monster..
Roosters own Residential and bowling clubs
Cronulla Sharks own a Big Golf Course

that is just at the top of my head,

Both codes were set up differently.. and both are changing in there ways..

i think you will be spot on in regards to the SUNS>
just how long will they take to make that call.
