Great news for the Swans, not so good for the Wallabies and Rugby.
Banking giant HSBC ends Wallabies sponsorship as it looks outside rugby

Banking giant HSBC will stop sponsoring the Wallabies as it looks to diversify its promotional spending outside rugby and build an image as a "challenger" in the local retail banking market.
HSBC Australia has been the "official banking partner" of the Wallabies for six years but has opted not to renew the deal with the national rugby team, instead announcing partnerships from 2020 with the Sydney Swans, Opera Australia and Queensland Art Gallery and Gallery of Modern Art.

One would have thought league would have been the code hsbc would have signed to being the dominant code in Sydney!
I guess they wanted their producer to be seen and not embarrassed with who they associate with

I would think afl would be the logical choice given the demographics that afl and union have in Sydney anyway. It’s about who they are trying to reach I guess.

how did this thread about the Swans picking up a sponsor get tied down with stuff covered significantly in another thread. Is it deflection? Can the mod possibly regile this back to the thread made for these two special people maybe.

It’s a deflection!
The product wants to be seen at games and not branded with a team that plays in front of tarps and empty plastic seats most weeks
Hsbc now joins the list of other sponsors to help make the swans easily the most valuable team in Sydney and nsw in terms of sponsorship dollars

now add in the rumored 8 to 10million payout to Folau
you thought they were low few months ago, they have just hit a newer low point.

The swans also keep kicking goals against the nrlol clubs!
They are by far the most valuable in the terms of sponsorship dollar in NSW!
The complete opposite can be said about the Minnowbourne Storm in Victoria
