What a way to indoctrinate these kids. I would be interested to know on a serious note how many were there out of their own volition ? This would be a good indication of how much more needs to be done and whereabouts they are at I reckon.
Another will be how many supporters will be there should they win to celebrate. I read something about compoarision to Storms first GF win in its second year - and how there was little knowledge of the game, little support and how there were not that many celebrating when they returned home. Is this where the Giants are at? What are the KPIs around this. Very interesting.

In Australian sport perhaps the best comparison with a Giants victory next Saturday would be the Melbourne Storm's 1999 grand final victory over St George Illawarra in just its second season.
It is not quite true to say Storm won that premiership too soon. Many members of that triumphant team would play vital roles in creating the club's now storied winning culture even if they never became household names in Melbourne.
But the Storm's modest premiership celebration outside the club's old headquarters at Princes Park — Molly Meldrum addressed a bunch of mostly interstate and Kiwi loyalists who were far more restrained than the standard Countdown audience — was some measure of the minimal local impact that victory made.
It was not for several years when the Storm had established deeper roots in its home city that the club's incredible success was parlayed into greater benefits including greater support from fans, media and sponsors.

haha they got an absolute hiding from Richmond. Some kind of AFL grand final record win.
They are Nothing like the Storm. Melbourne are very hard to beat.

Are you forgetting the 40 nil loss to Manly .... didn’t even score. By far the best side that year (and this) but that’s the finals system for ya.

Still was'nt as bad as the Giants lol.. 5 tries to O the Storm lost.
How many more goals did Richmand get than GWS. Was a lot more than 5.
Plus the Melbourne Storm won their first grand final. GWS got their arse handed to them in theirs
The Storm are way more consistent than the Giants.

Where are the PAID ambassadors to spruik how great the storm is .
Where are the members buying multiple memberships to inflate the numbers .
So a gf qualifier last week had 114 k in Syd watching the midgets .
This week a Gf qualifier had 210 k watching the storm in Melb .
Nowhere near the same support .

Gws crowds and popularity are growing to be closer near to the Storm all the time! 20 years of existence to 7 & take in to the fact that the storm have been successful for the best part of that 20 years!
An after noon game to an even game even then you use a once off example as it suits your useless argument!
The swans have gone far beyond the Minnowbourne Storm when comparing so it’s now the giants! Give it another 10 years and you’ll be using the Sydney swans seconds team to compare the Minnowbourne storm against!
