Man you really hate afl lol. As the major sporting code in the country I guess they pay the bills and bring in the revenue. If it came down to either afl or cricket ... which you think they would choose. If afl built their own stadium in Sydney there would be no SCG.
Fred, this post is exhibit A as to why you are consistently wrong and make yourself look idiot on this site. Do you really know who brings in the most revenue at the SCG? Answer......No!!!! You just make it up.

Here is the truth:

"Cricket is the major driver of revenue at the SCG with the five days of the Sydney Test and the Sydney Sixers' Big Bash League games alone outperforming the 11 home and away games the Swans play."

So there ya have it Freddy boy!! And now lets look at your other claim: "If afl built their own stadium in Sydney there would be no SCG."

Laughably idiotic statement as usual. The SCG has been used for cricket since 1882. The Swans have used it since 1981. Yep.....cricket has been there for 100 years longer!!!!

Plus......before the SFS was built major RL & RU was played at the SCG. Like from 1908 to 1887. Big drawing state matches, test's, semi finals and GF's and for many decades a match of the round. So yep.....the SCG can thank RL for 80 years of revenue and use before your fumbling mob came stumbled along.

So there ya have it Fred........wrong.........and wrong. Hope that helps pal!!!!!!
SCG is nothing without AFL. You know it.

This is the best analysis of this very important story. This is what you won't hear in the bubble dwelling states.

Swans lame duck protest!!

Really, AFL? Really? You want the tear up the SCG’s unique and mysterious SCG pitch and replace it with a lifeless, dead-as-a-maggot drop-in?

AFL chief executive Gillon McLachlan in April wrote a sternly worded letter to SCG Trust chairman Tony Shepherd about introducing the temporary decks for the sake of the Sydney Swans.

The committee will meet next month but you can already sense it will be years before a drop-in pitch is seriously considered, let alone become a reality.

For starters, the members will tear the place down if it happens.

And surely the AFL and Swans are playing poker with a bad hand. If they don’t get their way, where will they go?

North Sydney Oval? Spotless Stadium? Try to stop ANZ Stadium from being turned into a rectangular venue?

Many can see this story for what it is: a posturing AFL trying to get its way, just as it does in the other capital city.

Not in sin city baby!

how the fuck does that differ from almost any other post around here. Get your head out of your own ass.
Well firstly it doesn’t address the thread at all, not even on the level leagueiscrap can so its deadset pathetic to start. Secondly it completely dismisses any potential for discussion on what has been so far a very discussable and interesting topic so, especially for an admin of the site, it’s a shithouse and very out of touch comment to make.

So basically it differs because it’s below lic, who got banned for shithouse posting  give urself an uppercut and kindly stop spamming the boards with ur self obsessed drivel. We wanna talk footy here, k? ;)
