who says an AFL player has attempted it? Why would they leave a vibrant comp to play in front of A league sized crowds?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:46 amIf toddlers have that skill, why has no AFL player ever been able to make first grade NRL when attempting it?
Are you saying the skill of AFL players is below toddlers??
You can drp the ball in RL too, as long as it's backwards, just like the sport and most of their followers. In fact your attitude on here is very backwards. Then again speed and agility has never been an important factor in AFL. You can drop the ball as much as you like and your boundary line is not even counted as out. So AFL is actually below the skill of a toddler.
As for speed and agility, this is important in every sport. Do you honestly think RL has this element but none others?
here's a tip, there's only one goal, the posts on each side are not goalsThen you have a massive set of 3 goals to kick at with no crossbars.
Our players dont line up 15 metres away from the goals for every kick. I've seen golden points in RL where the conditions are somewhat similar to the AFL so players are under time pressure and not a short distance from the goals and they are about as unco as a sportsman you will find. Miss, miss, miss, miss, missWhat is even funnier is AFL players still miss

So the rugbys and American rugby.......yeah that's not a lot of sports in the scheme of things. Basically far more sports don't have line breaks than doNRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:10 amRugby Union, Gridiron Football, Rugby LeagueNlolRL wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:05 amdo these 'line breaks' occur in other sports?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 7:51 am
Is something that involves, speed, agility and skill. Something players in an AFL game are incapable of.
So this is why you wouldn't know what it is.

Line breaks only happen in oval ball codes on propper rectangular fields.NlolRL wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:13 amSo the rugbys and American rugby.......yeah that's not a lot of sports in the scheme of things. Basically far more sports don't have line breaks than do
But because AFL is like a pretend football game on a cricket field. They don't have it.

Seems that many very popular sports dont have or need line breaks to be interesting or succesful.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:29 amLine breaks only happen in oval ball codes on propper rectangular fields.

Mate golden point is way harder than any AFL goal. You have a crossbar and no extra side goals lol..NlolRL wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:12 amwho says an AFL player has attempted it? If AFL had a golden point scoring system, almost nobody would score points
As for dropping the ball backwards in Rugby League, it hardly happens. While in AFL you drop the ball all the time and play on. Big difference.
As for speed and agility, the crap rules in AFL don't allow for it. Has never been a sport that allows one player to run full speed side stepping people from one end of the field to the other.
Having no boundary strict line rule in AFL is a perfect example of this.

Is when attacking players break free from a defensive line to open play.NlolRL wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:54 amSeems that many very popular sports dont have or need line breaks to be interesting or succesful.NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 8:29 amLine breaks only happen in oval ball codes on propper rectangular fields.

Happens is League/Union/Gridiron
The three proper oval ball codes.

Re: Perry Baker would never care for AFL, but how he go in the NRL?
Most AFL goals are kicked nigh enough to be over any crossbar. We also have players standing in the goal square for set shots who would easily reach high enough to reach a ball that wouldnt cross a crossbarNRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 9:18 amMate golden point is way harder than any AFL goal. Most of our game is like your version of a golden point. Players need to kick many goals under direct pressure from anywhere in the forward line. It is RL that would be near scoreless if thats the only way they could scoreIf AFL had a golden point scoring system, almost nobody would score points
But its still allowed. You can fumble in RL and still retain possession. You cant laugh at other sports when yours does the sameAs for dropping the ball backwards in Rugby League, it hardly happens. While in AFL you drop the ball all the

That's as stupid as it gets. Do players sprint in soccer? In hockey? In basketball? Speed and agility are required in every team ball sport. That's one of the major are that separates professionals from the restAs for speed and agility, the crap rules in AFL don't allow for it. Has never been a sport that allows one player to run full speed side stepping people from one end of the field to the other.
it's most certainly a strict line, but the ball position is the issue, not the player. It's neither easier or harder, it's differenthaving no boundary strict line rule in AFL is a perfect example of this.

WOW this Baker Guy is quick..
The Prob is would he last 80mins??
and also can he defend ??
(also Kicking a field goal to kicking a goal 30 meters out direct in front is totally different.

Yep. The NRL has got some brilliant players from the Fiji & pacific islands 7's teams. This bloke could be worth a try. Thing is he's American. It's a no brainer for Fijians to come here and give it a go but this bloke would have to leave the good 'ol US of A. Having said that it would be great PR if a yank made it big like Semi Radradra did at Parra.leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 12:31 pmWOW this Baker Guy is quick..

Re: Perry Baker would never care for AFL, but how he go in the NRL?
I think you would have to have him out on the wing, not sure how good a defender he is though and if you would have him on the full 80 mins.. But I think a lot of Rugby 7's players would take to league like a duck to water.leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 12:31 pmWOW this Baker Guy is quick..

They would tear it up and be very hard to catch on a line break assist.
A lot of these players are running 10.5s in a 100m. If I was a club owner of someone like the Roosters who have cash to splurge and the resources with coaching staff.. I would be looking at these guys.
Carlin Isles is another gun player from the U.S. The question is how much do 7s players earn. Is it higher than NRL players.

AFL is just one big mumbo jumbo mess..Is like watching seaguls fighting over chips lol..
Mate you can't even compare AFL goals to golden point. What part of having no side goals and a cross bar, always creating much more of a challenge don't you understand???
Fair dinkum. Are you in denial that AFL goals have much bigger areas??
