Nope we accept that Rl is minor in some states .
AFl fans can't accept when their sport is outrated .
Sorry mate didn't realise this was the ratings thread.

Minor is being generous.

Which AFL fans can't accept when they are outrated?
Or do they not just cling to it so they can bring it up in any thread as they think it's an instant argument winner?

Time to get back to what this topic is about. Rugby League is growing in Canada while AFL is not doing much in China.

What will the AFL fans have to say if Canada get a second professional rugby league team as planned?

The fact is locals are getting behind a Rugby League team in Toronto, this is not happening for AFL in China.

Footage clearly shows this team is growing momentum.

Been a few new fan videos uploaded too. Genuine Canadians who are fans of the club and the sport.

Unlike AFL which only attracts expats to games in China. :(/

“The Toronto Wolfpack has cut back on its television broadcasts to save money.

The transatlantic rugby-league team has been paying the production costs to air home and away games on Sky Sports in Britain. The broadcasts have been carried in Canada on Game TV and online by CBC.

On Wednesday, the Wolfpack said it will not televise games at Lamport Stadium against York City Knights (Aug. 10) and Leigh Centurions (Sept. 7).

“The Wolfpack have invested a significant amount of money in covering all costs for the production to date in 2019,” the club said in a statement. “This decision has been made to reduce costs in the leadup to our much anticipated Betfred Championship playoff campaign.

“Toronto Wolfpack looks forward to returning to our largest-ever global television audiences in September, when the Betfred Championship playoffs get underway,” the statement added.

Broadcast of the two other remaining regular-season games – against Rochdale Hornets (Aug. 17) and Barrow Raiders (Aug. 31) – was previously nixed because they clashed with Catalan Dragon games, according to the Wolfpack. A July 6 game against Halifax RLFC was also not televised because of such a conflict.”

So popular it has no television rights in its own country. If by chance they lose the promotion game, I reckon they are gone.

Their millionaire backers are starting to count the pennies.

Championship will get own TV deal next year. May be better location than superleague - but keep commenting on stuff you know nothing about.

this is true, the Championship is going through a transition at the moment..

so much it is gaining in popularity with some games out rating the Super League..

Bright years ahead for the 2nd division league.

because that one team playing in a third division league in England means soooo much for the sport in the country.

But you know i think we're just fine.

Theres almost 1000 actual players of Australian football in Canada as of last year (972). There are 35 australian football clubs in Canada. That doesnt count junior programs. Record attendance for an AFL exhibition game was in Vancouver - 32,789.

There are as many as 11 Rugby league teams in Canada as far as I can tell. (11 on wiki, 10 on CRL site)
Pure delusion if you think AngloFL is anything in Canada.
