Are you sure they have exclusive rights ?? I thought they had priority but not necessarily exclusive. For someone who has an obsession with the literal meaning of words I am assuming you mean exclusive when you say exclusive so I’m not doubting you as you’re usually right about such stuff but can’t find where it is exclusive ?

This sits in conjunction with the endorsement the AFL Commission gave two weeks ago; that with Darwin provisioned as a SUNS Academy zone, the club has the ability to pre-sign players without having to work through the Draft bidding system and an increase to include 10 players on its rookie list.

That’s what I read on the Suns academy agreement

How to you work that out .
That is their feeder club .
The feeder club can sign anyone from anywhere .

And it's written in plain English
The THUNS have FIRST DIBS on the talent from the NT.
Which means them & them alone have first choice of any talent .
If you're the only one who has first choice then you' have exclusive rights .
