Looks like they'll get bet. 20-30k which will be a great result. I've seen pics of banners advertising the game in Denver and players talking to locals. This is the advantage of playing in a first world country that speaks the same language.

The only negative I can see is that they've only just got a TV deal for the U.S. worked out. Doesn't give much time to promote the game via a broadcaster. Then again they're not idiotic enough to tell people 9M yanks will be watching lolololol!!!!

DENVER is swiftly becoming a rugby league outpost as the historic match at Mile High Stadium between New Zealand and England draws closer.

As players from both nations met mayor Michael Hancock on the steps of the mayoral office it was confirmed Sunday’s (AEST) match would be televised by CBS Sports, beaming rugby league into tens of millions of homes across the United States and Canada

The live broadcast will be available to 60M homes in the land of the brave......richest country in the world....!!!! That's gotta be better than playing in a 3rd world country with a different language and zero interest in your game.

Just short of 20k attended the game in Denver. And amazingly they all seemed to stay in the stands & actually watch the game lolololololol!!!!!!!

I'd call that a success. If the NRL plays their first game next season on the west coast of the U.S. I suspect they'll get a bigger crowd & more interest.

Yep this game shows the massive difference between RL & AFL
RL say pre game about 18 k tickets sold
No big noting.
.no outlandish sell out claims
No laughable tv ratings predictions .

No look at us look at us AFL screeching.

No lies need to be told to cover the lie about a sellout .

Lesson for the Aflol ...will they take notice ...lol no
they will continue to preach the propaganda as long as tools like lol keep believing & defending the bullshit

Is funny to think a Canadian second grade rugby league club less than 2 years old with a limited promotions budget is blowing AFL games in China out of the water.

Really puts things into perspective at how dismal AFLs international efforts are going.

What is League's goal in the US? Is it to try and get the game to grow over there or mainly to try land sponsorship $$ ?

"Really puts things into perspective at how dismal AFLs international efforts are going."

Testing the water to get some $$ from China is about the extent... "dismal"

You use the 1 country thing like it's an insult and it's something you have over us. Apart from a couple of big execs, nobody's ever cared about International. We're proud it's an indigenous code.

Your name suggests 'we', referring to NFL. If that means you have any idea about American sport than you'd know how proud and stubborn with their own sports they are. They aren't open to change at all so your efforts are wasted if growing the game there is the goal.

Well said !
Americans love their unique indigenous code.
Rugby League they will not.
