can you show all these surburban grounds you claim have had upgrades .

I'll wait .
Hmm, why wait... you could have simply googled the subject and found numerous examples (current and past) of suburban NRL grounds getting upgrades through government (taxpayers) funding. [-X
Brookvale upgrade a step closer with $20m government funding pledge
https://www.smh.com.au/sport/nrl/brookv ... 50wma.html
$13 million Govt boost to upgrade WIN Jubilee Oval
https://www.nrl.com/news/2010/10/11/$13 ... ilee-oval/
$8 million boost for Campbelltown Stadium
https://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=340
WIN Stadium to get $28.9mil makeover
https://www.austadiums.com/news/news.php?id=406

And to top it all off... government funding not just stadium upgrades for NRL clubs... how about another $50 million of NSW taxpayer $$$ to give NRL clubs fancy new training facilities.

As stadiums largesse debate rages, NSW Government allocates $50m to seven NRL clubs

So... just as examples (i'm sure there are more too), the upgraded Campbelltown Stadium, WIN Stadium and Jubilee Oval were funded how? Brookvale Oval to get the same upgrade treatment courtesy of the NSW taxpayer. Add to that the billions of NSW taxpayer $$$ for knock down, rebuilds of Allianz and potentially ANZ Stadiums.

Oh and lets not forget the $50 million additional handout to NRL clubs for new training facilities.

You're a fucking hypocrite. Plain and simple.

Wow, this issue will not go away and looks like it could be a winner for Labor.

Finally a politician not scared to challenge Alan Jones.

Good point made by the Labor leader about the old wooden SCG Members and Ladies Stands.
'You're sacked,' Labor leader Michael Daley tells Alan Jones and SCG Trust
By Esther Han
March 5, 2019

NSW Labor leader Michael Daley has told 2GB broadcaster Alan Jones he will sack him and other members of the SCG Trust board, accusing it of "colluding" with the Berejiklian government to fund the "unnecessary" $730 million knockdown of Allianz Stadium.

With just three weeks to go until the state election, Mr Daley said if Labor wins it would remove the unelected members of the SCG Trust and replace them with a board that better reflects the interests of all NSW people.

Along with Jones, those facing the sack under a Labor government would include the Trust chairman Tony Shepherd, former News Ltd chairman John Hartigan, former NSW premier Barry O'Farrell, businessman Maurice Newman and Rod McGeoch, who led Sydney's Olympic bid.

"If I'm elected the board will go, I want a new broom through, I know you've been on that board for 30 years ... but the board will go, it will be sacked," Mr Daley told 2GB.

In the fiery interview with Jones on Tuesday morning, he revealed the board had sent him a letter in December outlining their arguments for the controversial rebuild.

"Give me three reasons what they told you about why it should be knocked down," Mr Jones said.

Mr Daley replied: "[You said] the seats were flammable, [SCG Trust chairman] Tony Shepherd swore on oath that those seats were flammable and the next minute we see Stuart Ayres, a friend of yours and others, bragging on TV about how they’re shopping those seats to rugby clubs all over the state and that’s one of the reasons Alan why I’m going to sack the board".

Mr Jones then said "we don't mind, that's your job, but I want to tell my listeners what this man is on about".

He then launched into the board's rationale.

"There have been independent expert advice, which we have taken, that there are no fire sprinklers," Mr Jones said before Mr Daley interjected with "because the board’s ripped them all out under the cover of darkness".

Mr Jones continued: "There are no fire sprinklers, it’s completely in breach of the building code, there is insufficient emergency accessibility, there are narrow internal and external concourses, there are only two major exits."

He then mentioned the Hillsborough disaster in the UK in 1989 when 96 people died.

Mr Daley said the stadium rebuild was a "scandalous" waste of money and concluded the interview with Jones by saying: "I'm sorry about the SCG Trust board, thanks for your service."

Labor wanted a better range of expertise and representation on the board.

He said it would only replace the unelected members of the SCG Trust Board, meaning the two members who were elected by the SCG Members, Phil Waugh and David Gilbert, will keep their spots, as will former Test cricketer Stuart MacGill.

Labor's slogan this election is "schools and hospitals before stadiums".

"The board’s current plan to knock down and rebuild Allianz stadium is not in line with the expectations of the people of NSW and is not in the best interest of sporting fans," a Labor spokesman said.

Mr Daley said the board sent him a letter in December outlining their arguments for the rebuild, including the lack of fire sprinklers and issues with emergency exits.

Instead of winning him over, the letter convinced him that stopping the demolition was the right thing to do, he said.

"Some of the [claims] were about safety and compliance, that the stadium wasn’t built for today’s standards and it was unsafe," he said.

"Well I make this point - the ladies' stand and the Members' Stand at the SCG are made of wood. They don’t comply with today’s standards either. I don’t see people rushing to try and knock them down."
