Because the Game it self has been driven By Networks and Media Organisations for decades..
It is a good point you make, the AFL leadership has far outranked the NRL leadershipFred wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 5:59 pmIt is amazing how well RL does considering. It has to put up with all that and what many consider pretty ordinary administration and leadership. I know they have been bound by money issues in the past, but now they are getting a good deal re: TV rights - that should be less of an issue. Maybe they need to get crowds up significantly for another revenue stream so they can have the financial clout the AFL has to take risks and lose money in doing so for long term gain. Imagine if the NRL had the leadership the AFL has enjoyed over the past 20 years abouts.
The nrl was broke two years ago and couldn’t obtain a si ole bank loan or a line of credit!leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:16 pmIt is a good point you make, the AFL leadership has far outranked the NRL leadershipFred wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 5:59 pmIt is amazing how well RL does considering. for past 25 years..
if it were not since the commission in 2012 NRL would be in big dramas.
since this date they are clawing back bigger and better each year..
all this with dramas..
Keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better... Meanwhile all the best stadiums in NSW are being built for the NRL, not the AFL.notaleaguefan wrote: ↑Sat Sep 14, 2019 9:04 amThe nrl was broke two years ago and couldn’t obtain a si ole bank loan or a line of credit!leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 6:16 pmIt is a good point you make, the AFL leadership has far outranked the NRL leadershipFred wrote: ↑Thu Sep 12, 2019 5:59 pmIt is amazing how well RL does considering. Now like the past two broadcast deals only have money due to larger contracts and will be broke again by contract end just like the past two occasions.
It’s clubs have pathetic revenue streams out side of the distribution money. They then selves and commission don’t, build anything or buy assets or do a whole heap to address other revenue streams except build mini casinos! Something that is on borrowed time thanks to this new looney PC modern world
