Here are a few more pictures. Note the corner areas of the 'straight' stand are further away from the ground because the stand isnt curved like the ground. This is why these small sections near the light towers have few fans. The stands immediately adjacent to these areas are pretty packed because they are closer to the ground.

You've shot yourself in the foot with these pics. All that hype about an AFL game in China and this is what it ended up like.NlolRL wrote: ↑Thu May 18, 2017 6:07 pmHere are a few more pictures. Re: Footy in China
I only psted them to prove pussy wrong after he said the ground was half empty. I dont care that there was only 10k there. Funny thing is the NRL have had 5 worse crowds already this season in their own heartland

Re: Footy in China
Not with games that have been known about for 1 year with millions spent on promotion.
AFL had 1 year to get a good crowd in China and this was the result lol..
As for heartland crowds. AFL can't even get a crowd at it's international cup in Melbourne.

Re: Footy in China
You think planning a game 1 year in advance would make a difference in China?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 6:09 pmNot with games that have been known about for 1 year with millions spent on promotion.

How'd the NRL go in Perth yesterday after planning their only game for the year?
The AFL in Australia get better crowds than anything international NRL can throw up

Re: Footy in China
I haven't looked much into this Game in China..
But the crowd looked like a PAST MARK
by was definitely not a Sell out
lucky to be 75% Capacity
Looked abit like when RUGBY UNION Play in HONG KONG

Re: Footy in China
The NRL has had a test match sellout in Perth between the Kangaroos and Kiwis with less than half the promotion AFL had in China.NlolRL wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 7:38 pmYou think planning a game 1 year in advance would make a difference in China?NRL&NFLweLaughATafl wrote: ↑Mon May 22, 2017 6:09 pmNot with games that have been known about for 1 year with millions spent on promotion.

Just face it lol.. AFL NEVER HAS AND NEVER WILL HAVE INTERNATIONAL APPEAL.
No matter how hard AFL tries, no other country gets into their sport.

Re: Footy in China
Americans couldnt care less about the lack of gridiron overseas. I agree with them. I live in Australia, where the AFL is the number one sport by a country mile. Why would i care if the game expands in countries where I dont live?
