See this is why you can't win any debate . You post something that's blatantly wrong .
When I correct you .
Suddenly the words NO PLAYERS has a different meaning .
No players means none

Yet suddenly the meaning is changed to a couple but that is irrelevant .

Do you fumblers gave any grasp of the English language & what words actually mean .

No players =0
A couple does not = 0
but a small level of RL would have been present in Victoria well before the storm began in Melbourne. The question is, has the introduction of the storm made a difference. Well, so far it doesnt appear to have.
Before expansion ..
MELB average RL crowd in the NRL season ..0
2017...not sure but think it's around 15k

Memberships in Melb....close to 0
2017...think it's around 13-14K
TV ratings before Expansion for RL in Melb....so low it's not worth mentioning .
2017...when the expansion teams plays ..it is close to ratings the swans get in SYd.

So by my calculations expansion has made a difference .
By Your fucked up meaning of the English language ..who knows

I think you are taking a very literal meaning. The discussion was around expansion outside traditional areas from rl. Well I would argue placing a team in Melbourne is not expansion. The game has not expanded outside its traditional areas and with afl expanding into non traditional areas it could be argued it is retracting.

To say rl has expanded but has been unsuccessful is an oxymoron ... they either have or haven't expanded therefore is contingent on success thereof.

If the afl placed a team in Wellington for 20 years and had no players from Wellington after that time and Aussie rules remained virtually non existent I would not say the game has expanded there.
Fred your psychobabble bullshit is just that bullshit! Of course you can have good expansion and bad expansion. Just look at the AFL's expansion it's been a nightmare on the other hand the NRL's has been an outstanding success!

Early 80's Canberra and Illawarra. Illawarra may have merged with Saints but both expansion clubs are doing well.

Late 80's Newc, Bris, G Cst, - all doing well.

Mid 90's NZ - Nth Qld - both doing great

Late 90''s Melb - great

Lions, GWS, Suns :(/ :x :x And the Swans(south Melbourne) better hope SBS don't bring back replays of Iron Chef or there gone to!
we arent really talking about onfiled success of clubs. We are talking about how the sport has engaged the expansion area. AFL is way stronger in NSW and QLD than RL in Vic, irrespective of how the Lions and Suns are going on field

come back to us when RL makes its mark in Victoria other than some expats who follow the storm

Oh my
As has been shown .
What you quantify as ...expansion is different to the meaning of the word .

Now it's make their mark .
Lol

So all the fans are expats now .

Lol you really are not very good at this .
Either try to change the meaning of a word to some fucked up Victorian definition or just talk shit

Im happy with the use of the term in the context i used it.

But for you, rather than arguing the point, you argue the technicality. This is very typical of you

I think it's best to leave it as is a
Otherwise it degenerates into what used to happen between him and lic. We don't need that.

Of course. You'd say that Fred p the knight in shining armour rides in to defend the idiot who just keeps digging himself deeper & deeper .

According to him all Rl is in VIC is expats who follow the storm .

I suppose asking for some proof of this is out of the question . Can't have a Rl poster asking a lying fumbler for some proof .

Still no announcement about the Chinese ratings???? Purported by the AFL to be 'possibly' the biggest ratings for a single game OF ALL TIME!!! Then nothing - All tip no iceberg I'd say.

I read in the Telegraph that it was one of the greatest events on earth, though sources refuse to confirm or deny this.

I think you pair are missing the big picture .
Caterers probably want a game held every week in China

Apparently 5 k people spend the entire game eating .

Mustn't be any places to eat in China near sport stadiums

Maybe better not to make grandiose statements and predictions then. That just gives us of the RL fraternity the opportunity to ask: where was the crowd? Where are the ratings?

Gilligan told me that too , and he should know. If it wasn't for Gilligan Know one would have known the match was a sell out :bounce:
