Which is the best football code? Here you can have it out with other football fans.

A typical piece of waffling Fred rubbish. What does it mean that more people in Melbourne watched the RL GF than people in Sydney watched the FB equivalent last year?? Please explain.

Fuck me dead .
What part of the word expansion don't you understand .

There's a club in Melb
There's memberships
There's a decent crowd average
There junior teams .
They've had home grown players
The fact that it's outside Qld or NSw is totally lost on you mob .

Oh my
I post links to back up the racism in AFL
Where's your links to support that NRL hasn't expanded outside 2 states .

Did the players in the NRL put pen to paper to beg the NRL to expand outside 2 ?

Lol
You're just not real bright are you .

There's facts ..
Then there's delusions ,
You deal in the delusion side of things .
there we have it. Your opinions are apparently fact because you believe them, yet my opinions are lies because YOU dont believe them. :hmm:

You need a massive reality check. Opinions are opinions and everyone has a right to one. I dont care if you dont believe miine, but calling me a liar for having an opinion makes you look moronic
:(/ :(/ :(/ deflection alert
As said & ignored by you ..I post sources for anything I claim .
You didn't .
You got caught out .
Now back-pedalling trying to claim it was an opinion .
Lol no it wasn't .
Nowhere did you say ...it was an opinion .or I think .
Or maybe .
You have no grasp of how things work

Caught out for making an opinion. Wow, how will I ever cope? LOL

And no, I'm not backpedalling one iota. RL expansion in Victoria is nothing more than a team of interstaters, which makes it non existent as far as expansion of your sport is concerned

Means exactly that nothing more. Rl in Victoria is virtually non existent in comparison. That's not expansion. Number of victioriand playing at nrl level would also suggest little growth of free sport. I think this was more a result of poor administration rather than a reflection of the sport by the way. I think the Sydney centric admin thought they needed to nothing but put a team in Melbourne and thus this is why it suffers poorly in regard to participation.

If I own a business & have 10 stores in qld
I then open one in NSW which goes ok ..does alright for 17 years ..& still going fine .

then by the bizarro fumble logic ...I havnt expanded outside QLD...
You can debate all you want on how SUCCESSFUL the expansion is .
But to say no it hasn't expanded is mind bogginly dumb

What is in the water in fumblelaad

but people in NSW are obviously buying your product, hence you have some expansion. If they werent buying you may keep your shop there but you couldnt realistically say your product has expanded to a new area. Melbourne just isnt embracing RL as a sporting option. Competitions are stagnant, no players are making professional level. You just happen to have a shop here

Oh dear keep fumbling mate. Even Handball a sport originating out of Germany has spread to other nations across Europe. What is the excuse there?

As for Grid Iron, for the sport to have a whole professional league in Canada. It has been very successful.

Sport has nothing to do with where it is from. If a sport is good it will get other nations liking and playing it.

Unfortunately for Victorians that is not the case with AFL.
of course, handball, You're on a winner there :(/ Handball may have had some spread across Europe, but thats hardly surprising given how close the nations are packed in together in Europe. We dont exactly have neighbours on our shores.

Gridiron expanding into Canada is NOT very successful, especially given the outrageous popularity of Gridiron in the USA, and how the US culture influences Canada's.

Sport has EVERYTHING to do with where it originated, you only have to look at cricket and how it is followed in countries with British roots to see that. Sports originating in smaller countries just dont expand internationally because they have minimal influence, and countries with their own established sports rarely take on new sports to the point that they survive professionally. I mean RL has had over 100 years to cross Australia and still hasnt. Any wonder Aussie rules hasnt expanded outside its originating country.
Your running out of bullshit excuses pretty fast at why AFL can't get anyone else into the sport. :\: :\:

Rugby League is still has done pretty well recently across Australia. Sellout test match in Perth, good crowds for Souths matches in Perth and 91,000 for Origin in Melbourne. Pretty good for AFL heartlands.
MEAN WHILE AFL CAN'T EVEN SUSTAIN EXHIBITION MATCHES IN NEW ZEALAND LOL!!!!. :(/

How is Gridiron not successful in Canada? They have their own professional league there.

http://www.cfl.ca

ACCORDING TO YOU GRIDIRON IS NOT SUCCESSFUL IN CANADA. CANADA LAST TIME I CHECKED CANADA WAS A SEPERATE NATION TO THE USA.
New Zealand is influenced by Australia yet keeps ignoring AFL lol  Why?? AFL is just not a sport new nations will ever relate to because it is not a good game

Canada and America share a number of sporting cultures. Baseball, Gridiron, Ice Hockey. As I've said, the USA has had a massive influence on Canada's culture. Yet such a successful and popular sport as gridiron hasnt expanded beyond north America professionally. Why is that? No good?

So does New Zealand and Australia. Cricket, Rugby Union, Netball, Basketball, Rugby League.

BUT AFL, NEW ZEALAND JUST DON'T LIKE.

All those other sports are played in both nations professionally EXCEPT AFL.

Also GridIron get huge crowds in London for exhibition matches. Even has been talk of an NFL team in London.

Are you serious? We share sports with NZ because of Britain, not Australia :drunk:

So, again, try an explain why there is no professional league expansion of gridiron outside north America.......Until then you're sunk.

Oh my
Lol the shop is still there
Then that' means you expanded there .
There's no other explanation
Your definition is way different to what the word means .
Lol no players are making it at a pro level . V
Check again before you post your bullshit
you have a habit of posting crap that I show up as crap then you but but but .

Now for the meaning of expansion once again
There is no number there is no anything except if you've grown from your origins & gone into somewhere new .
The NRL has
I've posted the meaning for you ...the dictionary meaning .
& strangely it doesn't mention any of the shit you're waffling on with .

Im talking about expansion of the sport, not merely the introduction of a new team in a new area. You can twist it any way you want so you can call liar liar (as usual). Doesnt bother me one iota

Of course it doesn't bother you
You like most fumblers on here are quite comfortable bullshitting .
You don't seem to like when someone highlights it .

Lol expansion of the sport .
Have memberships grown...yes
Are TV ratings ok ..not flash but on a par with what the swans get in SYD
Are crowds holding up ..yes
Is there junior growth . Yes ..not a great lot but still growing .

So even by your fucked up definition we have expande s.
As I've said
Is expansion successful ...that's an entirely different argument.
But you're trying to apply it here because i caught you bullshitting

Start a thread about it .
But man up & admit you were wrong
There's a team in Melb
There's a team In
Canb
RL has EXPANDED outside two states

It might burst the little bubble you live in but that is 100% fact .
Yet somehow you're arguing against it
