Facts are Pete ur boys jog greater distances but they do it over a much longer play time so whoopdifukkindoo. They play less rounds and endure far less intense physical contact than nrl players.

Then they get .... wait for it.... 💯 interchanges :(/

Endurance my arse!!

To equate endurance with being better sportsmen is just plain stupid. As KE has repeatedly pointed out on this thread AFL players jog at half and 3/4 pace just about all game. That's what the game has become. All the players in the team jog up the field when the ball goes that way and then jog down the field when the ball returns.

When the ball is fumbled and bumbled and the players stumble and drop balls everyone walks - and that is very, very often. The fact the game is played on a massive oval and the players flood one half then the other means they clock up big numbers of k's.

This has no correlation to skill, athletic ability or sportsmanship. They train like Kenyan long distance runners because they need the endurance to play the way coaches now want them to play. They simply train to run long distances at way less than 100% effort.

RL players train for explosive speed and strength in short bursts on multiple occasions. That's because that it is how the game is played. The training methods and outcome are what they are because of the respective differences in the games. Simple really.
