No just the fact AFL is an older sport than Rugby League and still only exists in one country.

the answer is where the games began. One in one of the most influential nations on earth and the other in a small country down under. However, at least the AFL have managed some successful expansion into all Australian states and territories.

Yes and RL has done better being the outsider coming in and forcing its way over your softc0ck of a sport driving it away from the Northern outposts it was attempting to take off of that other abomination called Union who coincidently has had a continued campaign against little brother rugby league since its birth to eradicate it world wide, so you using England and where Rugby League came from as having some influence is as usual, as far away from the real truth as Earth is from Mars.

That is a poor excuse lol.. Is more about AFL being a shit product. A shit product just won't be taken up by other nations..
Plenty of Australian brands have done well overseas from the Victa Lawn mower to the Wiggles to Steve Irwin.

And it is great to see Rugby League blowing AFL out of the water in EVERY SINGLE overseas market there is. :thumbleft:

Meanwhile we all just laugh at AFL playing Ireland with a round ball.

Its not an excuse its a reason. Australia is geographically isolated and so small our internaional influence is near zero. Something as culturally ingrain as sporting preference takes decades to change, as proven by RLs failure to expand across the very nation holding the worlds premiere competition. If it werent for the British empire RL wouldnt have grown anywhere either

But that's where you are wrong AF is played on UK, France, Germany, Denmark, Irleand, NZ, USA, PNG, Sth Africa etc etc. the fact it is not played in large numbers is quiet irrelevant to your argument because some have taken it up. Given AF was only introduced under 25 years ago there has been considerable uptake right around the world.

That's like saying Gaelic Football is global lol.. There is not one overseas AFL team that is even remotely competitive. Otherwise AFL would have REAL TEST MATCHES.

If AFL has all these comps and players like you say in Europe. Why are there no decent teams that can compete against Australia like other football codes?

Like Australia has Gaelic football comps here. Are you really going to call Gaelic football a credible international sport because Australia has a few teams? Obviously no.
The same logic goes for AFL. It is not a real international sport.

For the same reason RL for over 20 yrs dominated international competition, there wasn't enough quality players being developed OS in comparison to Australia. PNG, NZ and Ireland have both been very successful at the IC but have not yet produced enough good players - there are many players from OS comps playing in Australian 2nd and 3rd level comps but until they get 50-75 players in AFL they won't get and international game. But that doesn't mean they don't exist or are developing which still means your wrong so just admit it!!

Garbage as usual swines.

The Kangaroos couldn't beat GB for 30 years, then Australia had a few wins. France came along and beat all for about 15 years, around this time Wales were champs in Europe over both Eng and France when those teams were beating Aus and NZ. Then NZ went on a run for a bit and GB won again, the last 40 years seen Aus go more or less pro compared to the others. The last 20 years has seen Aus, NZ and GB/ENG have fantastic competitive test matches, you have no idea what you are talking about as usual.
