Toronto Wolfpack have won the pommy League One title with a win over Barrow in front of 8,000 fans. The win guarantees promotion to the Championship League next year. I gave this team no chance of succeeding but they've made a great start.

Is amazing to see a Canadian invest so much into a sport which is so foreign to Canada.
Eric Perez should be made CEO of the NRL, he would be fantastic.

Bah, this'll never work, they're putting a second team into Canada (probs Montreal) which will be announced in 6 months time or round abouts as well as the New York Franchise plus something maybe from the Jacksonville area.

Great start by the Wolfpack. I see the English Aviva Rugby premiership had a game for points in Philadelphia last weekend. They expected a sellout crowd of 18,500 at the stadium but only got 6,200. That makes the Wolfpack's season look even better.

Re: Toronto (that's Canada for the dingb@t)
so the wolfpac would have got 6k if they played in Philadelphia lol. You are dreaming. Wolfpack have done well to win a competition full of semi pro/amateur players. good luck to them in the championship

I never said they would have got 6k pal. Merely pointing out that as a comparison their Toronto crowds were very good. Perspective please.

Re: Toronto (that's Canada for the dingb@t)

Thanks pal. If I were you I'd be concentrating on the rabble that is Australian RU rather than international RL teams. Cheers.

Re: Toronto (that's Canada for the dingb@t)
Yep. Agree with that. I couldn't see any way they could succeed with the cost's and distances involved but they have done well. Still to be seen if it will be a long term thing though.
