So your claim is prime time has no affect on ratings?

In your case ...selective evidence .
Most Cricket is played in the Non Ratings period of the yr .
It has little competition compared to prime time in ratings period .

for starters it shows that the same program will rate far higher in prime time than non prime time. Secondly, the fact it also did so in ratings times, like last Sunday, shows it is consistent all year round.

How anyone could deny this is beyond me

Might get a big boost the first year or 2 but then I think it would settle back down to where it is roughly now.

The GF in both codes have been institutions on the box for 60 years now, everyone knows when these two games are played as you can not get way from the attention they bring.

If the AFL grand final was moved to saturday night
It would rate less not more.
Saturday night everyone is out and about.

Crickets on all the time
Throughtout the summer.. people watch a bit here abit there. Much is missed during the day but abit more at night is watched as it usually is the best part
Especially day nighters and 20/20's
Test matches monday to friday
Is obvious why more as watched at night.
Regarding weekend
Session 1 will be low as it starts in perth at 1:30
Session 2 rated high in late afternoon
Session 3 well there is nothing else on for viewers and sporting followers will watch.

AFL GF SATURDAY afternoon is a great time.
Nothing that day on tv between 3-6pm will rate higher then 200k as there is nothing worth watching

NRL G.F SUNDAY NIGHT
u have shows as high as 800k
With so many prime time shows
Taking away viewers who would of maybe watched but they would perfer x factor etc etc ..

Advantage AFL
AFL IS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY
This would be on the agenda
If true .. they would of changed this years ago.

So stop all the but but but
U dont have it so u cannot say anything..
Unless its tried nothing can be said.
U got to look at the facts.

and the games that are played in the ratings season? Are we ignoring them?

Anyway, what competition do they day sessions have? Why are evening sessions higher rating?

If the AFL grand final was moved to saturday night
It would rate less not more.
Saturday night everyone is out and about.
that completely ignores the fact that AFL and NRL games played on Saturday night far outrate Saturday afternoon games. Thats on FTA and PayTV. Why? Because far more people are home in the evening than during the day.
Crickets on all the time
Throughtout the summer.. people watch a bit here abit there. Much is missed during the day but abit more at night is watched as it usually is the best part

Session 2 rated high in late afternoon
Session 3 well there is nothing else on for viewers and sporting followers will watch.
isnt there nothing else on TV during session 1 and 2? The reason that Perth's session 3 rates better is people are home and watching TV
AFL GF SATURDAY afternoon is a great time.
Nothing that day on tv between 3-6pm will rate higher then 200k as there is nothing worth watching
and you raise a good point. NOTHING on Saturday afternoon rates well because very few people are home to watch TV
NRL G.F SUNDAY NIGHT
u have shows as high as 800k
With so many prime time shows
Taking away viewers who would of maybe watched but they would perfer x factor etc etc ..
ALL prime time shows rated far better than non-prime time shows. Why? Because people are home to watch TV
Advantage AFL
AFL IS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY
This would be on the agenda
If true .. they would of changed this years ago.
The AFL value the tradition of a Saturday afternoon GF over the extra money from TV rights. Why wouldnt they? They earn more from TV revenue, and far more from attendance membership and sponsorship.

Doesnt it raise the fact then...
If the Afl did go prime time.
And then there is more options on Tv
Bigger better class shows..
Potentially in the northern states it could do worse
Then it currently does..

We will never know until the Afl do it ...

We can go backwards and forwards..

But until the Afl schedule it will remain uncertained..

So if the afl was all about money, why dies it control its fixture and play games in the early after noons? Then you have the nrlol that sells its fixture and schedule s its games a round prime time?
Its more of a case the nrlol is all about money flog!
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

You drunken ****** .
You have no fucking idea at all .
The NRL contrary to what lies you post has afternoon games ...
In fact except for Mon Night & the occasional Thursday night there are usually games for both codes on at the same time .
Get a new carer .

ALL prime time shows rate better than afternoon shows. Other prime time shows would still rate well but so would the AFL GF. This would especially be the case for occasional viewers
