When this fumble reject can get maybe 2 of the. Above we could call him moderately successful .

But I can't see it happening
Lol they were the top of their game in tugby! Picked because of that, as well as marketing tools, they were shown time & time again to be to ****** at afl :)))
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

It was a hypothetical question big guy calm down, I've conceded that were both great off field success stories for the AFL generating millions in revenue and free advertising, it was a great point you raised and I whole heartedly agree with you as I've previously stated.

Ok so here's the question for you again, if I could write it slowly I would but here goes, how many games would Nat Fyfe have to play at NRL level for you to consider him to have had a successful career? I didn't ask for your opinion on if he would make it at NRL level I don't care, I'm trying to ascertain what the figure is you have in mind for future reference.

Of course none of this takes away from the fact that both league internationals were monumental on field failures, not the the AFL cared the money was in the bank as you keep pointing out.

But, but, but, apparently AFL players would never be considered by RL clubs let alone signed up. Leaguies have banged on for years that our AFL players are just not up to the same standard. Hmmm, what's new? Leaguies wrong again. Surprise, surprise.

I came across this gem from the great Beatup!!! Leaguies wrong again lolololol!!!!!!

Yep. Josh Hall played junior RL in Townsville. Then played basketball as he was 197cm tall. Then got poached by the Suns to play AFL due to his height. Played his first game at age 20 and waltzed straight into the top side and played 7 AFL games.

Then decided to go back to his first love and have a crack at RL again. Got signed by the Panthers in 2015. Played exactly ZERO, NIL & ZILCH NRL games and got released in 2016.

Yep. Never played AFL and hey presto......straight into the Suns!!!! Played NRL all his life but couldn't cut it in the NRL.

Beatup wrong again lololololol. Surprise surprise!!!!!!

It's hilarious .
You're tall ..come play afl.....no experience needed to make it to the highest level in the fumble universe.

Says a lot about this abortion of a game .

 great thread. That college bball player was possibly best on ground during the second half of the Afl grand final. He had....no experience  when he came to Collingwood. The required skills are kick... and catch. Skills every kid usually learns by age 7. Of you can kick and catch good you’re bound for success on any marngrook field.

About 18months ago afl scouts were scouting local junior tennis clubs for talent  they found some kid who decided to give Aussie rules a go and he excelled at it. Picked it up with ease. I think he may have been drafted by now.

Who knows where the Afl will fnd their next star from... chess club? That Canadian ice game curling 🥌??

It’s anyone’s guess really  but rest assured, you do not need to practise marngrook footy for years to become a star on the Afl field. I repeat. YOU DO NOT NEED TO PRACTISE MARNGROOK FOOTY FOR YEARS TO BECOME A STAR ON THE AFL FIELD

Sorry correction again 6' 11"
Mason Cox is a giant of a man at 6 feet 11 inches and at that height advantage nobody is going to outmark you in an even contest. I think his athletic ability and agility are average for a professional sportsman, it's his height that gives him an edge.
In an NRL similar scenario, l could envisage a huge hulk like player of record weight, say 150 kg that would plow or bulldoze through the best defence, unstoppable.
Has there been one in the past ?
You still need some professional athletic ability just like Mason Cox.
All I can ad to this is chant USA, USA.
I didn't want a crap name anymore !

Seeing as mason cox wasn't taught from an early age that not kicking straight & fumbling a ball is seen as a huge talent in fumbles I'm not surprised he's going well .

When you play other proper sports where accuracy & ball security are paramount then it's no surprise that you can show up with no previous experience & look good .
Especially when the other players in the comp are taught the complete opposite .
