The truly puzzling thing about this whole sorry saga is that your average run of the mill nrl game is played in nothing but silence. 1500 or so bored Northerns stare blankly at the field while the fat boys puff and pant their way back and forward. Yet when given a chance to showcase your regional sport at 1 of the worlds great stadiums, in 1 of the worlds great cultural centres you people can't keep quiet for 1 minute. As a result of all this the few hundred Victorians in the crowd were not able to pay tribute to 1 of our true sporting icons.

Because just like you RL posters like to remind us this is state v state - last I looked Victoria is NOT a suburb of Brisbane but a seperate state - no Victorian would yell out Queenslander - they might yell common the Maroons or common Queensland but they would definitely not yell out "Queenslander". It's something ingrained in Qld people not Victorians, end of story!
