But it does have an International Rugby League team.
Reserve Grade Rugby League teams as well as an NRL team in the Auckland Warriors.

Why would the NRL even try with SA for now, it has less Add revenue then Perth and is a much smaller market then Brisbane and NZ.

Adding a team in Perth, Brisbane and NZ adds more to a tv deal then a SA team ever could. A SA team would also drain the coffers of the NRL far quicker then those last 3 options.

Actually AFL has been around longer than Rugby League and it still is only popular in the arse end of Australia. AFL can't even get another country to play their sport after a 100 plus years.

Rugby League first grade teams in France, England, New Zealand and Australia.

Then we have a 4 nations which AFL can't do because only one nation plays their game lol...

For New Zealand to win Four Nations and to have Fiji compeditive just shows the depth of talent comming out of Pacific Island nations and the growing popularity of Rugby League in these regions compared to AFL.

Then you look at the UK which has produced some of the best forwards in the game.

AFL have a very difficult sell to get New Zealand to show interest in an Australian only sport that is as alien to them as Grid Iron is to most Australians.
