A Hawthorn fan was reportedly escorted from the MCG on Friday night after making a racial slur against Brazilian-born Collingwood footballer Heritier Lumumba.

The game and many of its supporters have and continue to fail to connect with multicultural australia i.e reality in australia in the 21st century. Even the name of the sport itself reeks of the naive and often ugly patriotism prevalent in the 1800s.

A massive culture shift is required but unfortunately the dumb chimps down at afl hq wouldn't have the foggiest as to what to do apart from tokenistically jumpingon bandwagons such as the recognise movement...
