He has a point, both Parra and the Bulldogs have as good and in some cases when the eels are doing well even bigger TV audiences than that almighty collington. They have the ppl watching, they need to convert them to bums on seats at the games.

My team takes a game to SA and gets 50k when for all of their existence, they have got around 20k for this same fixture at Parra. That's shows that if teams like the eels start taking bigger matches to the bigger stadiums, they too can get big crowds. In the next few years we are going to see a big shift in where games are played and the numbers turning up.

As I said before, when my team last had a good run in 2009, they had no where near the games collington had on FTA shown nation wide yet my team had more people watch them on TV that year. You work it out.
so the eels go to SA and get 50k turning up :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/
keep pulling it
20k to a game of league, man i wish the AFL got that :-k
hang on they do, in most places in Aus
Australian sporting sponsorship
AFL excess of $50m
A league $30 million plus
ARU $27 million
NRLOL $25 million

Ok this is true, but remember too the AFL clubs are decades behind NRL clubs when it comes to pokie venues and revenue, much like the NRL clubs are playing catchup on memberships and crowds.

Also Wookie its not like you can just put in 1000 pokie machines and presto your set for life..........................................there needs to be a culture of gambling in the surrounding area or it will not work no matter how hard you try.

Look at Mounties in Sydney's West Gross revenue of 435million in 2013. Heaps of Asian Migrants in the area 2nd, 3rd generations, Asians love a punt.

http://www.mountiesgroup.com.au/site_fi ... 0D5WEB.pdf

NSW cup Rugby league side, but look at there gaming revenue it is the largest in the country for a leagues club, the people surrounding it love a punt on the pokes.

well the NRL clubs need a form of income to stay alive
the AFL clubs have only really started geting in to pokes lately, due to the ever increasing expenditure costs. which is well over twice what the NRL clubs are.

what are the revenues of the NRL clubs raise out side of pokes?

Penrith (apparently Australia number 1 brand and club vs Essendon (my team)
football revenue Penrith $20,718million Essendon $54.4 million
membersip revenue Penrith now shown Essendon $10.3 million
sponsorship Penrith $5.428 million Essendon $16.84 million
Merchandise Penrith $341,000 Essendon $3.24 million
http://footyindustry.com/files/2013Repo ... 202013.pdf
http://www.essendonfc.com.au/staticfile ... 202013.pdf

thats revenue with out gaming and pokes.
get the drift how little the NRL clubs are to the AFL clubs
with out pokes there would be no NRL clubs.
pokes are only a very small part of the AFL clubs revenue, where as NRL clubs its pretty much their only form of income
AFL clubs pump all their money in to facilities & trying to stay ahead of other clubs. (my club just spent under 30 million on a complete new training and admin facility)
NRL clubs just keep building poke & gaming venues & train on a council fields & sheds like the broncos do

big fucken difference ay?
NRL club = worthless piece of crap
the NRL clubs target the lonely looser with empty lives who blow all their money on the pokes,to attend games, because its the only kind of person they can attract to their product :))) :(/ eg morons like raiderdave and AFLcrapper & your self. who just because the eels attract a sell out of 19k they are the biggest team on the planet
ps im still waiting for proof of the 50k who turned up to a game in Adeliade that you claimed?
