Rugby leauge clubs in Victoria / Australian Rules clubs NSW

Post by Fred »

This is what i could find re: Junior Rugby League in Victoria after being told my son had plenty of clubs to choose from. None in Gippsland at all... I'm happy to stand corrected however as I don't see the failure of rl to make decent in roads as something to gloat about but just trying to point out where the work needs to go.

And here are the junior leagues in NSW ....

http://www.aflnswact.com.au/index.php?id=25

Each leauge with several clubs ... Look at Sydney .. Divided I think into 5 leagues ....

Now do you see what I and others mean Dave when we look at the development of Aussie rules in NSW and qld as compared to rl in Victoria. As I said my son couldn't play rl where we lived. Even if he wanted to he couldn't. If we lived in Melbourne and he wanted to we would be traveling all over the place to play as team over 100klms apart are playing each other because there is the one make shift leauge . The nrl need to put the work into here, grass roots to grow the game .

I said teams dickhead

& there are almost that many in Victoria ( nearly all in Melbourne )
some 2500 club registered players
from near zero to 2500 in 15 years

vicky kicky has only increased its tally by about this same amount in 31 years in Sydney
from 5500 to 8500

wow
just wow ... =D> =D> =D> =D>

So where are these 150 teams my 10 year could have played for ? You saw the same site as I did Dave ... There is barely a presence in Melbourne for rl. That is what the nrl need to get . Compare that to the leagues that the afl has in Sydney ... It's Hugh .
