btw Quolls loving your input in the forum of late>> some good stats and good read. :thumbleft:

regards to the Knights. quite disappointing indeed.

they will bounce back this Friday with a 22k+ crowd.
if there Origin Players back up”

Thanks for your kind words.

I shall try and keep up my “unbiased” stats and analysis.

But need to put it out there, I have never managed to sit through an entire game of NRL, Super Rugby, A-League or the associated events such as World Cups or SOO. I have tried.
I watch 1 Game of NFL a year because my American neighbours throw a good Super Bowl party and I do not need much of an excuse to have a day off. But if it wasnt for the copious amounts alcohol, food and Tom Brady, I wouldn’t have lasted. A game that has an average of 14 minutes of ball in play time (slightly less this year) over an average of 3 hrs 17 mins requires a lot of alcohol.

I have watched several games of Gaelic Football, would be better if the allowed marking as a free kick (Oh no, this year they have) tackling (under discussion) a bigger field (No Hope).

Although I have tried many brands of beer, and I travel OS at least once a year, my preference remains firmly Victorian. Bias is mainly “what you grow up with” both in beer and sport. (Doesn’t explain my aversion to cricket). My Favourite beer in the US is the locally brewed Fosters Lager, which is something not quite like the Oz version, which is something I would not drink here unless it was free and I had run out my favourites whether bought or borrowed.

Btw that Knights Crowd was 18k last night.

Thought it would be over 20k for sure>>

But yes a big lift on the 11.5k that attended the Saturday before.

Yeah love your work Quolls. Except praising Fosters.
Also surely you've sat through some of those? No matter how painful

I think I’m with quolls. I don’t think that I’ve ever sat through a whole game of nrl. I know I have watched a lot of parts of games. Maybe there was a close storm game, maybe a final .... but I’m sure I at least turn off for parts and come back smf often the score hasn’t changed.

Nope, except the super bowl, tried, failed, these days I tend to flick over to see the crowd then flick back.
Wasn’t praising Fosters, they don’t have CD in the states, a bloke has gotta drink what a bloke has gotta drink.

Suns lowest crowd of the round so far, can’t imagine any other game will go lower. Disappointing.
I thought the Knights would be higher too.

And why am I on the forum?
I have always been interested in the history and evolution of football games, but mainly, my 2 daughters have left home and for some strange reason I cannot fathom, I miss the bitchin’.

ENGLAND > SOLD OUT

Aus V Tonga in Auckland 27k

Aus V Samoa Darwin 14k
Darwin >> SOLD OUT

Aus v NZ 21k

Newcastle >> Sold Out

Aus V NZ 27k
Canberra >> Sold Out

Aus V NZ 27k
Gold Coast >> Sold Out

Aus V NZ 45k

Lol most of those grounds are crappy club grounds and selective over a long period of time

Funny how none of those are near soo sized crowds and there was no comment about the 2017 wc final failing to sell out

Again proven the level of interest of m by real nrlol fans in soo the rest just get caught up in the moment of the event one state vs the other state :)))

It’s as boring as watching the grass grow! Plus it’s always better fun stirring the meathead bogan league fan up at the pub! They always seem to have limited abilities to mount a varied come back :(/

Freddy,

There ya Go A Huge Drop on Suns crowds in the space of the week.

8700 That is a 50% drop in numbers from previous game.

And the crowd was still almost on par for noise when the Crows Scored.

(what happened to all the Richmond fans ? that hang around after attending the previous week..

(my point proven Suns survive on away attendances at there own ground..

quite amazing really.

Dear God .
Help him
You ranted
Leeroy answered that rant with facts that showed how clueless you are .
Then you reply by saying they were played at Crappy grounds .
You really are off with the fairies

Suncorp in Brissy.
Or AAMI in Melb
OR skilled on the GC .
Eden park in NZ
Or Marathon in Newcastle ..

They are not crappy grounds .
That was just a deflective excuse for Leeroy highlighting how little you know about RL .
And how you just make shit up as you go along .

Yeah fair point. I think there are still a lot of members like myself who go to support their team and then go most weeks to watch the footy and get behind their local team in the sun’s. That’s my experience though. To be honest, everyone I know who go most weeks are in the same boat but small sample. The fact they are woeful at the moment hardly helps. And of course,a lot of 3 game memberships so not everyone goes to every game.

I think that there are many expats up here is a saving grace . We see the same with titans crowds a lot as well. Lots of away supporters.

Deflecting already over the kangawhoos crowds

You’ll also find the Suns are ahead of the gold come titans in crowds this year
Suns 11685
Gold coke titans 11206
