So degrading a statue is nothing?
I guess it's only a rl statue.
You wouldn't want it done to serious memorial would you.

.
Its a hard life. I wake up on a Sunday morning log in here and see rubbish like this statement from cos (who obviously hasn't read the whole thread) who makes stupid statements. If he would have taken the time he would have seen that there is no plans by the Stadium Trust to give permission for that to happen.

Yes cos rarely looks into things. He just squabbles on like a dumb pigeon, blissfully unaware of the worldaround him as he pecks away at breadcrumbs.

Peck peck squabble peck he goes.

It seems with every passing year RL is losing ground to soccer and not really gaining new ground anywhere else!

In all honesty, Rugby League and Football co-exist rather well, we share a lot of history and a prime example is Peter Sterling, he has a lot of time for football after spending so much time in the UK. Where they share many facilities. Our ground size is comparable, we share common heritage, the news media in NSW gives football a decent coverage. it is really only in insular Victoria (and I hear it is even worse in SA) that the AFL based media is so hostile to perceived threats.
Football in NSW
- Football 200,868
- AFL NSW/ACT 28,468
- Rugby League 96,041
- Rugby Union 40,685
Football has 22% more players than the other football codes combined

Wow has'nt this post backfired lol.. Swany thinking it would be bad for the Eels but instead they will now have one of the best stadiums in Sydney to play on.

And it will still be a rectangular stadium that AFL will never be able to use. :thumbleft:
