Re: Rugby League , State of the Union
So Roy Masters that "lying,no good enemy of the people?(AFL) is now quoted by Beauassie as providing relevant information to his case. Roy would have a fit if it was true. Roy did not say things like the NRL would be lucky to get a billion dollars. He did say that David Gallop would face a revolt if did not get at least billion dollars/ AS for he admitted their were "extra games" in the NRL you mean he actually let it out in public that rugby league has representative football and that it rates really highly. Such treason should be dealt with immediately as now it is out in the open even more people may want to watch leading to even bigger TV deals.
As for Topper doing his own doctoring of the ratings because he seems to think that SOO has different players watched by different fans -well I am constantly lead to ask that key question "What colour is the sun in AFL world?"

I have doctored nothing. It's you NRL supporters who are presented fudged figures. State of Origin is an ARL game. It is not an NRL game. Players used have nothing to do with it. It's like they're allowed to play in two different competitions, which I'm calling a joke. The sun in the AFL world is bright. The sun in the NRL world is black.
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

Roy said yesterday the NRL will be lucky to get $1 Billion. Certainly wont match the AFL according to him. Painful to watch for you lot but nevertheless, reality.
he'd be setting those ******* morons up ... hes a shrewd cunning man is Roy ... he'd know full well 1 Billion is the starting mark
he'd be wanting to see the looks on the faces of those flogball twats when we crack a billion plus
good ol Roy

It says it all and the argument is over.
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

Re: Rugby League , State of the Union
Roy Masters does not at any time say that NRL will not get $1b for the next deal. Caroline Wilson does. What Masters says is that if the NRL got only a 2/3 increase as the AFL did they would not reach $1b. He did not say that would happen or he expected that would happen

Re: Rugby League , State of the Union
Roy said even if the NRL rights were increased 3 fold the NRL would still fall short of the AFL's deal. There is no way broadcasters are going to increase their outlay 3 fold on the current deal. Get used to always playing second fiddle to the AFL.

Re: Rugby League , State of the Union
Well that is nonsense on two fronts. Firstly no such comment was made .Secondly 3 times $500m is $1.5b so somewhat bigger than the AFL deal. Roy is good at maths

No he's poor at it, but he's right. They'll be lucky to double it.

=D>
Highly informative and amusing thread Raider. Page one is something to behold with Topper vying with AFL 'Warrior' for the dumbest member of TF
The stats are very intriguing and as much as the AFL bimbos try they just dont make any good arguments in here. Although it was not hard to improve on Topper and AFL 'WArriors' start, they never really did.
Another thread deservedly goes to the NRL supporters here =D>

You have proven that you can't see the wood from the trees, King-Eliagh. The AFL has been winning this thread and very easily.

No I will not take back my last post. It was all too funny to read your ignorance and bias in this thread. You were never going to make any good points yet try the pair of you did. Even beaussie didnt touch this one with a ten foot pole
