Massive AFl handouts and clubs still operating at a loss
First Geelong, the clubs in SA and now North Melbourne, even with the massive handouts from the AFL, North Melbourne run just shy of a 600K loss. Beaussie, you keep creating threads about the NRL, maybe you need t look in your own back yard.

Well we should be proud that the AFI is helping out, for if not where would the Australian Film Industry be today?

Re: Massive AFl handouts and clubs still operating at a loss
Only Port Adelaide got a handout. And that was simply an advance as I understand both the Power and the Crows will get a windfall with the sale of AAMI Stadium. Not something that is in the wings for any NRL club.
Rugby League has a lying culture. Altering crowd figures, relying on inaccurate TV figures from regional NSW and refusing to distance itself from Leagues Clubs and obtain it's own club memberships as it relies on LC's to survive as private entities.

Why not? More spending leads to bills of course. But it also increases revenue.

If every business worked like that, our ecomony would stagnate - and then you would have a much bigger and more devastating implosion. You know nothing about running a business so don't bother trying to debate the point.
