Yeah and that'll be offset by the fall of FTA ratings.
Afl fans will have access to 4-9 games a weekend instead of 4-5 like they currently have. Plus almost all will be live

No, last year the maximum games they could watch was 4-5 even with foxtel. This year they can watch up to 7 I am told. That's 2-3 extra games per weekend. Perth will finally get games live on fox and near live on fta too

you can choose to forgo ads & watch all of your flogball on pay if you choose to
that will mean a drop in FTA ratings

I predict Pay TV and FTA TV ratings for the AFL will increase with more live games on both platforms nationwide. I personally can't wait to get Foxtel installed. Friday night footy live on 7mate in NSW/ACT and QLD is going to be fantastic for those without Foxtel as well. Good times ahead.

AFL ratings have fallen 30% since 2005
another 5% in 2011

I'd attribute the 2011 drop to the unattractiveness of the comp itself ....uneven , uncompetitive with many many blow outs .. with a lot of games over by 1/4 time in a lot of instances

2012 will be worse
ratings for the AFL to continue falling making it 8 seasons ... in a row .. that they have

they may have their new deal locked in .... its just as well
hoodwinked twice now broadcasters have been by the AFL
a 3rd time ... ??

I'd say no .... the games up
& AFL rights to stagnate for the foreseeable future when this deal is done ...........

More BS. Seriously Raider, you just make things up as you go. No one's falling for it. The majority of what you post is utter BS.

In any case, we have another Australian sports record... $1.25 Billion tv/media deal banked. Good luck with your negotiations. haha

Dave I notice that you have covered a period SINCE the demise of the original Fox Footy. Now that they're back - up go the ratings!

Not that I believe you on saying they're dropping!

you mean the foxtel show that couldn't muster enough ratings ... so they closed it down
this debacle is back
so the continued slide in AFL ratings will cease

Here's some free advice:

- report it properly

- make sure you are specific! He ratings have gone up in the last 10 years so if you challenge it open ended you will lose

- FTA or paytv? Again don't make it too open ended

I'm reporting beaussie
calling BS.... as he claims AFL TV ratings in all forms .. so the collective audience ... has not gone down by 30% since 2005

he has to prove this
I'd say thats pretty straight forward ................
