Foxtel considers Rugby League a downmarket product

Post by Beaussie »

Well there you have it... even old Roy is now stating the obvious. Foxtel consider Rugby League to be a downmarket product compared to the jewel in Australian sport that is the AFL.
Williams, who built Foxtel from a loss maker to a $550 million profit earner, listed this year's AFL deal as one of his finest achievements. He considers rugby league a more downmarket product

Kim Williams is a giggleball apologist who " did " head Foxtel & was the moron who ended up getting Foxtel to pay what they did for the AFL , seriously its a dud sport & Fox will find this out soon enough.
While Williams is credited with Foxtel going from a company losing money to a company making plenty , in reality he had nothing to do with it.
that was the NRL & its legion of fans who turned Foxtel around
this fat ******* dopes opinion of the NRL is water off a ducks back as he is no longer at Foxtel , & anyone at Foxtel who shares his veiws on the Countrys Numb 1 sporting product on TV ... had better tread with caution

Because I assure you the price tag for this " downmarket product " ... will be the same as the AFL's
or this " downmarket product ".... won't be on Foxtel

& .. Foxtel , will fold.

if
Gees, Williams is just telling it like it is. As I've said to you time and time again, it's about time you throwball fans accepted you place in the Australian sporting landscape. You'll forever be small fry compared to the giant in the room - the AFL. TV deals just like crowds, membership numbers and sponsorship deals reflect this FACT! Get used to is sunshine.

our place will be the code of the next 2 decades
its terrifying for giggleball fans I know ... thinking about where our code will be in 2031 , & contemplate where theirs will be then too

GWS & the Suns have run the coffers out ... theres nothing left
the Lions & Swans have folded ,
the AFL are getting TV deals half that of the NRL's

the insular little oddity in Australian sport that is confined to the Sthn states has dissapeared up its own @rse

get ready for this great future sunshine

You code will still be confined to some parts of NSW and QLD in 2031. Hasn't the history of this country and your previous failed attempts at expansion outside of NSW and QLD taught you nothing???

I can't either

it won't make an ounce of difference to League dominating the ratings
& will prove this fact beyond doubt

giggleball fans claim we engineer ratings by splitting telecasts

on the occasions we didn't & all of NSW & QLD got the same game
the NRL pasted the AFL to the wall with ratings higher for any AFL game on any night or day in 2011
that theory .... put to bed
our weakest telecasts would still match .. or beat the AFL's strongest ( our srongest will destroy theirs ) .... simply because giggleball has no regional veiwership
so fixing our schedule will not stop the NRL from continuing to smash the AFL in ratings

back to the drawing board
we can't be beaten ................

Latest word is the Sharks will be the first of the 15 out of 16 NRL clubs that are broke to fold. Hahaha

Oh dear, Adelaide has been tried and failed dopey. Have you ever noticed the Rugby League tv ratings in Adelaide. Abysmal like the crowds for one off games in the city.

North Melbourne have been kicked out of Sydney, Canberra and the Gold Coast, how long before they are kicked out of Tas and permanently from Victardia?
