Fantastic ratings for the Wallabies in Melbourne and may I add, Adelaide and Perth.

Clearly when you look at Rugby Union crowds, membership numbers, participation numbers, grassroots support and tv ratings in Melbourne, it's clear, Victorians overwhelmingly prefer Rugby Union over Rugby League.
Nine’s Rugby: World Cup: SF2 Nine New Zealand Vs. Australia 1,788,000 710,000 376,000 409,000 141,000 152,000

Trans-Tasman Rugby League Test 2011 Nine 943,000 460,000 113,000 292,000 32,000 48,000

More people in Victoria still watched the Rugby Union over the Rugby League on the same day. In fact more Melbournians watched France vs Wales than the Rugby League test involving Australia (or should I say a team from NSW/QLD). :(/ :(/ :(/
